TalkingWithTami: Tell us how you got into being a make-up artist?

I was always into the fashion industry as a young girl.  I always
loved to make my aunts and cousins beautiful.  I started pursuing
makeup as a profession by accident through people who were always
asking me about my eyebrows, so I decided to get a job arching
eyebrows and doing lashes and the rest is history!  And my makeup
skills developed from there.

TalkingWithTami:  Who are some of your clients in the industry?

Actress Kaira Akita

I have been fortunate enough to work with a variety of celebrities
such as Fantasia from American Idol.  She was addicted to individual
lashes and a great client.  Kaira Akita from Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I
Get Married
?” & “A Family that Preys” & Tiny formally from Xscape and
T.I.’s main girl makeup for her new show “Tiny & Toyia” to name a
few…

TalkingWithTami: Is there any quick tips you can give us for women on the go?

Yes, always have a little concelar for your undereye area, it wakes
you right up! Combine this with some mascara with face bronzer and
neutral lipgloss.  Now you’ve got a quick natural five min look on the
go!  And I know all about those on the go looks because I am
constantly on the go being a that make-up business has been rewarding
yet keeps me busy.

TalkingWithTami:  If you could beat one face of any person, who would it be and why?

Hmmm it would probably Iman…Dont get me wrong I love her beautiful facial features butsince I have mastered her make-up look thinks she would love my creative spin and special touch I do on clients. I would love to get her in my chair one day.

TalkingWithTami: Whats in your personal make-up bag?

My personal make-up bags has to have Iman Clay 3 Cream to Powder
Foundation fo my undereye area.  L’Oreal Carbon Black Voluminous
mascara, my bronzer and a multi colored eyeshadow and blush palette
small enough to fit into my make-up bag.  I also love using moon beam
by Benefit.  I use it to highlight my face in all the right places.
It just always pulls my makeup together.  These are some of my
favorite make-up products that add to my day.
