The other day mostly all the media in Atlanta was invited out to network and catch up on each others projects. Sheri Riley from Glue Inc. toasted Atlanta’s media by letting us kick back and not work at all. The event was sponsored by Crown Royal. I thought that was very sweet of her and Monica to do.

The event was held at a suite inside the Georgian Terrace Hotel. I saw a lot of fun bloggers,magazine editors, writers,photographers and more. We had a great time and I want to thank Sheri for the personal invite. Take a look at the pics and happy friday!

Last nite I was invited out to listen to some great singers perform at where else, Mickey D’s! I know I was like when did McDonalds(www.mcdonalds.com)  start doing concerts?  Well McDonalds is hosting the McCafe Urban Soul Lounge and the first series was held at McDonalds parking lot under a tent in Tucker,Ga. When I saw the line up of performers I called my buddy Taylor(www.indakno.com) and said lets get there fast! Plus I loved the fact that it was not too far from my house! 

McDonalds has launched some new McCafe beverages and they had samples for everyone to taste,plus prizes, and more. I didnt know that its over 270 McDonalds in the greater Atlanta area…wow! My sponsor from last season was out and about to the Chancelors that own four McDonalds lol.

First up was line dance king Cupid(www.myspace.com/theonlycupid) . You guys remember him from to the dance song “Cupid Shuffle“…to the right, to the right, to the left, to the left, now kick now kick. Yeah he shut it down! I had a great time doing that line dance. He also has a new one out for the summer called, “The Love Slide“. Cupid said you can do this new line dance at family reunions,weddings and more.I think I got it. He also sang one of his new songs,”Dont make your baby mama mad” lmao. We were cracking up,but the lyrics are cute. Cupid’s new album,” Feel good muzik” is coming soon!

Next up was R&B crooner Eric Roberson(www.blueerrosoul.blogspot), I cant say that I know his music but when he hit the stage everyone was singing along. I felt like I was the only one out of touch lol. He had a great voice and I loved his tennis shoe game!  He also brought onstage another singer named Algebra. She had great vocals and they sang a duet together.

Last but not least,Philly R&B singer Musiq Soulchild(www.musiqsoulchild.com) came out. Wow he is so talented, everyone was singing along and my daughter got a chance to rock out with him on stage. Musiq had everyone feeling good in th e crowd well over 100 people. He can also hit those high notes too, the women were in awh as he sang,”Love“. He song several songs and high fived and partied with the kids as he sang, “Just friends”.

It really was a great concert and this was just the beginning of the Free summer Concert series with McCafe Urban Soul Lounge. We were all pretty in pink last nite at Tous(www.tous.com) located at Lenox Mall in Atlanta,Ga. The owner Esther Carretero also a mom,has a really beautiful store! It was a Moms day event hosted by Atlanta’s fav Moms! We had a great time. I met some of the most fab women that Atlanta has to offer! Lots of people came out to shop,network and see some of the cutest items that Tous has. Nuvo(www.sparklingnuvo.com ) was the wine sponsor so was Dasani water (www.dasani.com) and I was feeling happy as a lamb. I dont drink but I do like Nuvo) lol.

The munchies were awesome from Sweet Auburn Bistro(www.sweetauburnbistroatlanta.com). We had chocolate covered strawberries,skewered chicken and more. Ina Saulsbery(www.thestarfiregroup.blogspot.com)  event planning company put on an amazing party, I must say! This young,beautiful,fashionista has been throwing parties for top celebs & others in and out of Atlanta since I can remember! She is very detailed oriented and if you guys ever want to throw a fab soiree, give her a jingle,she is fabulous! Trust me Ive been to alot of parties in my day, and I  have to say that her events are in my top 3! Two clicks of the heels for her!

All the ladies looked nice in their different shades of pink. I was shocked to learn that Chilli,former member of TLC and now spokesmodel for Dasani Water, doesnt like the color Pink…GASP! She told me,” I hate that color”. I almost had a heart attack on the carpet but held my composure lmao! I wont hold it against her because thats my girl and she is really a sweet young lady. Good luck to Chilli’s career! I want to thank Ina Saulsbery for asking me to be one of the hosts to such a lovely event. Hey you guys! I have been so busy this weekend, but I have not forgot about yah! Your girl had some fab parties & events to attend and got to wear my new pink high heels lol! Well first off I want to wish Niecy Nash a Happy Birthday! She celebrated in style by having her pink carpet celebration at Derek Blanks photo studio! Warren Huntley from Warren Huntley Presents,Inc(www.whpatlanta.net) transformed Derek’s studio into a chic party place,it was fierce people! I loved how he transformed Derek’s studio into an all white chic atmosphere with tulips,and roses everywhere like a garden. So classy, so me! I love Warren’s design style and he was also celebrating 5 yrs in business too.He had some hottie guys massaging guests everyone enjoyed that.Derek Blanks is Niecy’s personal photographer so she said no better place to have it than there! Derek was very happy to accomodate her. He was looking good too on the carpet, I love my Derek,such a sweet spririt! I cant began to name all the partiers/celebs that came out to wish the Diva a great birthday(just look below). Some of the cast of Clean House was there, I had a nice time talking to Trish Suhr and Mark Brunetz,they were fun. 

The fashions were hott too, my girl Lisa Wu Hartwell had on the cutest boots,and black outfit.NeNe had on a great fitted suit, and Sheree wore one of her tees from her ShebySheree line. Kim Zoliak shut down the carpet in her Versace dress and I forgot to ask her who made the blinged out watch she was wearing but upclose you guys, it was the business! Go head Kim, you looked fab! Niecy’s dress was too cute she wore a shimmery silver halter dress and I loved her black shoes accented with rhinestones. Her toes were hott too! QParker  from r&b group 112 serenaded happy birthday to her,then she cut her cake which was so cute,it had flowers with a high heel on top! You know I loved that! Do you guys know I stayed up till 3 o’clock in the morning? I was wore out today but I had a great time. I want to thank my new friend Joseph Babineaux of Perspective Pr for the exclusive media access. Im looking forward to the next party,Im off to bed now,Im exhausted!
