Hotel Melia Atlanta Summer Splash Party

It was a gorgeous evening in the city of Atlanta, and my hubby had just got back into town. What better way to spend a wonderful evening together than to head over to a great party! I was invited to celebrate the opening of Atlanta’s newest rooftop pool and luxe lounge at Melia Hotel.

Melia Hotel is the first Spanish hotel chain in the Atlanta market. It took over the old Marriott last year and started a $38 million renovation. The hotel has more than 500 rooms, banquet facilities, restaurant, lounge and pool area.

When we arrived at the hotel, the music from DJ Roonie G was blaring from the speakers. People were dressed in chic Miami-style attire, and we were glad to be there! We were escorted over to the bar area where we had complimentary cocktails, then our photo snapped on the steps before being whisked away to the rooftop pool and lounge. There were white cabanas, bar areas and lounge chairs throughout the space. The Atlanta backdrop made it a great evening for my husband and me, as we nibbled on bites, mingled with guests and enjoyed the view.

Entertainers then appeared, walking on stilts and tossing fire balls, as acrobats performed. It was quite something to see! An exec came to greet us and showed us some of the newly renovated rooms. I really liked the decor and space that the rooms had. The hotel lobby reminds you of a fabulous, exotic vacation spot. I will be headed back down to stay overnight soon, so check back for that experience.

The Melia Hotel would be a great place for birthday parties, events and more! I would like to thank the staff at Melia Hotel for the wonderful experience and invite.

Park 75 plus a lil bit more

I was invited out to review the beautiful Park 75 the other night. This was my second visit to the Four Seasons hotel in a week. Park 75 is a swanky lounge area outside of their restaurant. They have live music, drinks and great bites. I brought my hubby along because he loves jazz music and he was delighted to get out.

It was about 7 pm when we arrived and the valet whisked our bat mobile off as we entered the doors of the hotel.Right upstairs you could hear the music playing softly. I loved the atmosphere and saw couples seated having small conversation, I already liked it. The more mature I mature the more I like things like this lol.

The jazz group Eric Essix Trio did an amazing job and played very softly allowing my husband and I to be able to talk to each other. My husband loved guessing the tunes they were playing instrumentally. We really weren’t that hungry, so we ordered appetizers that looked good on the menu. I ordered the sweet corn soup with lobster,poached pear salad and lobster corn dogs. My hubby ordered the caesar salad,crab cakes and sliders. Our food was really, really good and I wanted to order more of the lobster corn dogs, omg!

A lil later on, I spotted Ahmad Rashad and Charles Barkley being seated right across from us. I can spot a celebrity in a heart beat and wanted to say hello,plus ask Charles what he thought of the hotel lol. He is very well known for his opinion, so I knew he was going to have something to say lol. I introduced myself and he was a very pleasant guy. He told me he stays at Four Seasons alot and “that they take really good care of me”. We chatted some more but thats kinda off the subject but Ahmad and Charles were very nice. Thanks guys for chatting with me!

We are not drinkers, so I cant tell yah how the wine was but they have a great wine list. I saw others ordering it. Sous Chef Bryan Beneke came out to see how we were doing and he told us that he was going to come back with something special. He then came back with freshly made donuts and other pastries and chocolate! My hubby and I were in heaven lol,thanks so much Bryan!

We also met Kailie Bennett & Jerome Legendre the frenchman. The live jazz is wednesday and thursday nights from 7-10pm. Overall our experience at Park 75 was very nice and romantic. If you’re in the downtown Atlanta area,please stop in Four Season Hotel for some good food,cocktails,live music and great conversation plus the valet parking is free! Plus you never know who you just might meet!

Room at Twelve

Yesterday I had a great time going to lunch with my girlfriend Tisha. I usually drag her along with me to try new restaurants because she has great conversation, plus she likes to eat with me lol. Some of my girlfriends say, um no way because your going to make me fat lol. I remember doing a show at Downtown Atlanta Restaurant week last year and I filmed at Room at Twelve. I was so busy, I really didn’t get a chance to sit down and try the food. Well yesterday I was able to dine in and I had a great time.

The Twelve hotels are popping up everywhere and I love how they have the coolest restaurants attached to them.I love the decor in the restaurant and how you can see the chef prepare the meals. It’s very spacious and the atmosphere is relaxed and swanky. I ordered a salmon burger and Tish had a cheeseburger and salad. I never had a salmon burger but wanted to try something different.

Chef Terry Koval then magically appeared from around the corner and had some cute bites on a plate and told me to try them. He said,” they look like chicken nuggets huh?” I laughed because he always has something funny to say.When we taped the show last year, Chef Terry was so fun to interview and he showed me how to prepare rack of lamb ,fun times! I proceeded to try the crunchy chicken nuggets and they were yummy! I also liked the raisin sauce that was with it as well.

When my salmon burger came out,it looked so pretty! The presentation was awesome! I was scared to eat it because it looked so nice lol. It was really good and I would recommend that, if you ever stop in! If you live in Atlanta or plan to visit, please stop by the restaurant and tell Chef Terry hello. You cant miss him, he is the one with the big smile and cute hair do!
