Carrabbas’s Italian Grill!

I remember I tasted Carrabba’s for the first time. It was at Frank Ski’s wine tasting and I fell in love with it. I have a soft spot for good Italian food. When I tasted the food I asked the owner Brett Cavalli could I come in and try the restaurant, we set it up and today I was able to go try it out with my husband. The Carrabbas that I went to is located at the perimeter mall area. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and it reminded you of a lil cafe that you would eat outside at. It was very cozy and the aroma of the food cooking was such a great smell.

Brett the owner manager,cook greeted us and told me that he would make us some speciality and popular dishes! I was too excited to try everything. He said the most popular things on the menu were the Chicken Bryan,Chicken Marsala,Filet Marsala and the Shrimp Sampi. When he brought out the Shrimp Sampi,my hubby and I immediately started arguing over who was going to eat the last shrimp!

Carrabbas has 7 locations but all the fun is at the location at Perimeter. Brett told me he has always loved the food business and that he has ran the restaurant for 3yrs. They also deliver to companies in the area. I also loved the dessert which was called Sonyodi Chocolata,too yummy!

From now on I will be doing my own restaurant reviews, because he eats too much lol. Yes the food was very good and every thing they brought out just got better and better omg! We enjoyed everything and the Filet Marsala was so tender and juicy! If your in the Atlanta area please stop into Carrabba’s and tell them I sent you!

Fado’s Irish Pub!

Top of the morning to yah! Today is St. Paddy’s Day and what a great day it is! I know alot of people will be wearing green and going to all the local pubs in the area for a beer or two lol. Well why your out today having a great time why dont you try Fado’s! I was invited out to try this pub thats located in the buckhead area of Atlanta,Ga. When we walked in I had a smile on my face because the place looked very warm and inviting. I was greeted by a cute redheard by the name of Darby! What a nice lady! She sat us and we looked over the menu. I asked her what she suggested and she said that the fish in chips is what they were known for.

I said, ok and my hubby ordered that and I got the Chicken Boxty Quesadilla. David Lovett came over which is one of Mgrs and introduced his self. He showed me around and explained what alot of the things in the restaurant meant. He told me he was from Galway, Ireland(west coast) and has been in the states for 9yrs. Later on General Mgr. Brian Russell from came by and told me a lil history of the place. I learned alot in just a short time I was there. The flags in the pub represent counties in every city in Ireland. The decor is victorian style with dark woods,and all the woodwork and artifacs were made in Ireland and shipped over. Builders then came and installed,wow! Some things regular customers like Matt,Mark&John like to eat are the sausage rolls,fish and chips and guiness wings.

Brain told me that Fabo has been in their new location for 1yr(273 Buckhead Ave Atlanta,Ga 30305). Their anniversary was last weekend,congrats to them. To celebrate St.Patricks Day they had a list of events like on friday the 13th was St.Baldrick’s fundraiser where men shave their heads to raise money for Conquer Kids Cancer. They had a parade on Saturday with all sorts of bands. The parties last all the way up till today. At 7am today, they have kegs&eggs,traditional irish dancing,food, and beverages till midnight! So stop down and check them out! My husband and I loved our food, I will be back down there again with my friends to stop in and get more fish and chips, it was that good! The desserts are awesome too I know I gained 2 pounds when I left lol! I got the galway apple tart, and my hubby got the harvest bread pudding,yum!They also madke their very own brown bread ice cream right on the premises! Mimi’s Cafe

I watched this new restaurant being built down the street from my house called Mimi’s cafe. I never heard of it and couldnt wait till it was finished being built.This establishment is based out of California and owned by Bob Evans. Its a classic american restaurant with International influence. I finally got a chance to stop in the other day and try it. I loved the atmosphere too, it reminds you of a restaurant in New Orleans. Never been there but it still reminded me of it lol. We were greeted by Amy and she was also the bartender there.

We asked her what was one of her favs and she said liked the salmon and chicken pot pie. Scott Murad the manager said he liked the soups,salads and sandwiches. Lots of people liked to come in for that for lunch. He said,” hey you have to come back for breakfast too”! I didnt know they served breakfast. Each room had different themes, we were in the big room that reminded one of Bourbon St and Jazz music,then there was a french bistro room and private room for intimate occastions;they also have a patio area as well. My husband ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Smokey chicken enchiladas. Scott brought out some fried pickles, lol I was like,wow never had that,they had a tangy salty taste,but good! We really liked our food and my husband cant wait to go back. Scott then brought out a Mimi’s Classic Ensemble which was their signature trio of petite desserts including bread pudding,fresh apple cinnamon crisp and triple chocolate brownie served a la mode.

All I can say is yum yum yum! Everything was very tasty, we will be back for sure! The Mimi’s that we dined at is located at Mall of Ga in Buford,Ga please, please, please go!
