Pajama Jam Networking/B-Day party!

Over the weekend I celebrated my birthday by having a Pajama Jam networking event that was such a hit! First I would like to thank God for allowing me to see another year…woot! Skirt Mag/Ms.Biz Event

Skirt Magazine invited me out to their Ms.Biz event and I had a great time! Felicia Joy hosted this networking event because she is all about women and teaching them about entreprenuership with her magazine Ms.CEO and on her radio show( www.msceoshow.com).

So funny because she was recently at a taping of my Girls Nite In. I love to see women come up with great ideas and network too. I saw my buddy Stephanie Davis(editor in chief and her marketing guru Jennifer! I also met a very chipper new friend by the name of Dickie Sykes who has a company called DGS Consultant,LLC(www.dgsconsultingllc.com) she has an audio cd called,Yes you can still find a job! In these times of economical struggles we can all use some great advice, if you know what I mean. Also I met Marea Michelle, who has a new book out called, The P.H.D.(The Professional Hustlette’s Degree) www.thephdbook.com. She just gave me a copy so I will have to read it and let you know how it was.

The event was very nice and lots of womenprenuers came out to the lovely Ellis hotel which is in downtown Atlanta. I got a chance to speak with the hotel’s publicist Autumn Mayfield, who informed me that in the Ellis hotel they have a floor dedicated to women how cool is that! I think you get a complimentary pair of Spanx in every room! I love Sara Blakely what a great inventor! Skirt magazine was also taking up a donations for The Atlanta Womens Foundation which benefits their organization. The event was very lovely and the hors d’oeuvres and Skirtinis was just right. Thanks Skirt for inviting me out!

Pretty Powerful 2009!

Today I had a fabulous time meeting Ms. Felicia Joy, Ceo of Ms.CEO Media Inc. She gave a “Pretty Powerful 2009″ photo shoot to women in business. It gave them an opportunity to get a power shoot with the legendary Derek Blanks(www.dblanks.com ). Over 20 Women came out all glammed up to get great photos so that they can take their businesses & careers to another level in 2009.

I got to meet some great women today like Kim Harrison of Key Consulting a local marketing agency. I also met high fashion and runway model, Vieshena Drain. I met Petrina Smith an aspiring talk show host,also I saw my good friend Tisha DeShields of (www.OriginalBellyworks.com) take some hott pics! Regina Trawick(www.myspace.com/reginatrawick ) did an amazing job on all the girls makeup, while celebrity stylist Shun Melson(www.myspace.com/creativesolutionz ) worked her diva magic on some models outfits. I even did some creative directing with some of the ladies who were a lil camera shy lol! Big girls can work the camera too you know! Ha!

Derek ran a special today for only $199.00! His prices are way more but he collaborated with Ms.Felicia to help upcoming women in business.What a sweetie he is thats why I love em! Always remember to give back! One business lady that I talked to today named,Dishelesh Jones, said she just wanted to take pics for her new website and company. She felt like Derek “was all of that” and “he pulled out the alter ego in her” lol.
