Chile, I know that PETA is doing backflips and cartwheels after seeing all this fur at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! People pulled out those fur coats like it was NOBODY’S business and it was chilly enough to wear them! I would have worn mine but I had no room in my carry on bag, but my wool coat kept me quite warm. The way people wore their furs was something to see and it was quite fashionable looking! Its definitely a style of choice.Let’s take a look at what I captured during fashion week! xoxo

The birthday princess

Imagine getting invited to a great dinner party hosted by Dwight Eubanks to celebrate Comedian Cadillac Kimberly’s birthday. Well, yes that happened yesterday evening. I got an invite and I was delighted that Kim wanted me to be a part of her special day. When my girlfriend and I pulled up, you could hear the music blaring from Dwight’s home.

Cadillac Kimberly greeted us at the door with a big smile and a cocktail in her hand lol. She welcomed us with open arms as she gave us a mini tour of Dwight’s fab home. Her and Dwight have been friends for many years, so he was very adamant about throwing her a party. It was a intimate affair with about 20 guests.

Kim’s relative prepared us strawberry daiquiris,then we danced and sang to Aretha Franklin greatest hits. I met Kim’s mom Ms.Jesse and her aunties known as the Golden Girls. You can tell Kim loves her family deeply,that’s so sweet!

We all could smell the food cooking on the grill, as we sat by the pool and reminisced on the good ol days, celeb gossip and more. Dwight then came out and said it was time for dinner. He dimmed the lights and we had a candle lit dinner.The chandeliers which were in every room, glistened as we all ate in silence because it was that good! We dined on grilled salmon, grilled chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, and buttered dinner rolls. I smashed everything in sight! Yall know I’m greedy as heck lol. For dessert we had birthday cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake, soo good! Shout out to Howard for making the delicious Salmon,O-M-G!

After dinner we danced to Kim’s fav song, No hands by Waka Flocka & Roscoe Dash. It was a great evening with family, friends and good spirits! More people started to come but a diva had a long drive home lol. I would like to thank Dwight for being such a great host, Cadillac Kimberly and everyone else for having us! I had a Pinktastic time!

I just got back from the Bronner Brothers hair show and let’s just say a sister feet is tired! Whew all yall cousins came out and showed out! I don’t know where to start and I suffer from A.D.D. so it was too much going on and a lot to see. The usual fun vendors was back like Clairol, Motions, Creme of Nature, Mizani,Sally’s,Dudley and ofcourse Bronner Brothers. There were a lot of  newbies in the house too.

What makes the Bronner Brother shows so exciting is all the people watching! There is crazy sights to see. If you want to catch everything under the rainbow, you have to come to the best hair show in the world!

Enzo Milano

I also stopped by a booth called, Enzo Milano. They were doing live demo’s on a new curling iron that you just wrap your hair around and it gives you a Beyonce style wavy curl. Brett did my whole head in under 7 minutes.I came in straight and left curly! I loved the body it gave me. The pink curling wand was $80.00 at the show but usually retails for $125.00. They are a new company based in Los Angeles.

There were also live performances going on everywhere. I saw singer Priscilla Divine and I loved her lil back up dancers, cute! She has a song out about hair weave, but I really couldn’t hear all the lyrics lol.

This year was just as good as last year if not better. Glenn Jackson is a regular M.C. that does the hair competition/battle. You may know him from Tv One doing hair show documentaries. He was in rare form as usual and a delight to chat with lol. He does a Golden Scissors Award  in D.C. yearly,which is a huge success. This year he booted off the whack hairdo’s and crowned the winners with $1,000 dollars.

Student Competition

Strike a pose,catch it! lol

There was a student competition and professional competition. Glen’s commentating will have you in stitches. You have to be there to get the full effect. His favorite line is, “Should she stay, or should she go!” The crowd picks the winner by applauding and then the D.j plays Beyonce’s song, To the left, to the left and your excited off the stage Apollo style, hilarious.

This year, a young hair model in the professional competition worked the stage. Glen Jackson kept calling her Las Vegas, because she posed every time she got! Shy…I dont think so. You cant be that way when trying to win money, hello! You have to know how to walk and work the hairdo and stage! It was I think 8 competitors that got narrowed down to 2. When it’s the last two, then those two have to battle. The other model was so shy and couldn’t really walk, and Las Vegas ate her for lunch.

Ofcourse contestant #6 won with a land slide. The Bronner Brother’s show is going on till Monday Aug. 10th, so you still got time to get your tickets. Today I saw Dwayne Eubanks and Darrin Henson from MTV. Actress Monique was in the house too but I had just missed her.

Singer, songwriter, reality star Kandi Burruss celebrated a surprise birthday party in her honor at her store Tags the other day.

She looked cute and I loved the cake! I remember her telling me that she was a fellow gemini like muah! I see that alot of the housewives and Dwight stopped by.
