Sparkle, Betsey Johnson Spring Collection 2012

After viewing lots of collections over the last several weeks, its safe to say I think we know what the trends will be for Spring. I kinda hopped over the Fall/Winter Collections because I don’t really care about Fall fashion and it makes you look bigger anyway from all those heavy coats and layer argh! I don’t like cold weather lol. So it made me happy to read from the experts what will be fab for Spring! Let’s take a look!

I just had a hissy fit when I saw this new ad campaign for Donna Karan! These pics are gorgeous shot by Inez van Lamsweerda and Vinoodh Matadin. Model Isabeli Fontana was styled by Nicoletta Santoro in some sophisticated pieces by Donna Karan. As much as I love bold patterns and colors I really do like the sleekness of this collection and the lines. She did a wonderful job with the looks. My favorite piece is the backless dress! Argh!

To celebrate Spring , DKNY introduces two new fragrances! Be Delicious Juiced, a fresh take on the succulent nectar extract of a New York apple and Fresh Blossom Juiced, the sugar-rich dew crushed from flowers.

DKNY Be Delicious Juiced is a citrusy blend of ripe apples and watery fruits. Juicy New York apples lie at the heart, surrounded by pear blossom and a golden mango nectar. Muguet and white peony add a floral note, complimented by violet petals. The drydown is a sheer wave of creamy woods and white amber.  It’s a nice nod to the original DKNY Be Delicious fragrance and of the two, this one is my favorite.

DKNY Fresh Blossom Juiced is a medley of just-picked blossoms and petals. The all-pink scent starts with pink grapefruit, bright freesias, fruity cassis and passion flower.  At the heart is an apple, embraced by lily of the valley, pink rose petals and sweet pea. Palisander wood, vetiver mist and white musks add the ultimate soft under layer.  It’s a light, fresh scent, perfect for spring.  Considering the winter we’re having, this is a welcome respite.

My review:

I’m loving the DKNY’s Be Delicious Juiced the most! It’s airy and fresh smelling! This is something I would wear out with my girlfriends. Its not very strong but subtle. Its something I can wear all day at the office and not get tired of it. DKNY’s Blossom Juiced is for a hot date night or just out on the town. It definitely gets your attention. It has a bit more scent to it and a sexiness about it. I thought I would like the pink one the most but nope the green fragrance is my fav!

I am also enjoying my DKNY apple green vintage leather classic sac! I have never owned a green purse in my life but the kelly green color is very eye catching. The leather is very soft to the touch and I love all the hardware plus the shape of it. It has 2 inside zippered pockets on both ends with a lot of room for personal items. In the middle of the sac, it has a zipper with lots of space for a wallet, lotions, sunglasses,perfume and a few shades of lipgloss. The outside pockets has enough room for a notepad,pens and a set of keys. Nothing like having to dig way down in my purse to hunt for keys, argh! The bright colored sac is right on time for my vacation to sunny Florida next month,I cant wait! Now I will have to find that perfect pink and green silk scarf to match! I would like to thank the staff over at Estee Lauder for sending the samples, loved them all! xoxo

My dear friend Serena is still fighting breast cancer! God Bless her! I have found some great friends, sponsors,designers and more for breast cancer awareness and research. Some of these companies that I work with, proceeds goes to the Susan G.Komen Foundation. Hey there guys, I survived the Oscars last night lol.Congrats goes out to Monique for winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress! Woot! I’ve never watched the whole show in my life but with the help of twitter, my friends kept me amused. It’s so funny to see all these huge celebrities come on the red carpet to then see them just never get it quite right.If I had half the coins these stars had, I would be soo sharp! Maybe it’s just me but I really didn’t see anything that really stood out!

Maybe I had to be on the carpet up close and personal, to really see the sparkle in the dresses lol. Most people looked like they just pulled something out of the closet and said, heck I will wear this! I would have pulled out all the stops if I was nominated but most stars were just plain and boring looking. I do not have a fav dress this time around maybe you do,chime in!

I guess this was the best dress I saw on the carpet. Sandra Bullock’s Marchesa gown.
