Moet’s Seal it with Rose Brunch

Yesterday afternoon I was invited out by The Garner Circle to experience and taste the Moet & Chandon Rose Champagne. It was a pinktastic brunch held at Aja Restaurant and Bar in Buckhead. The event was hosted by the always stylish Kenny Burns that had great food,upbeat music by The All Star Project and a soulful performance by Raheem Devaughn.I loved how they turned the Aja restaurant all pink just for me lol!,They must have known the princess of pink was stopping through lol.

It was something to see! I also got a chance to meet the Glenn Twins in all their pinkness. It was a very swanky crowd and I saw some celebrity sightings like Atl Housewife Sheree Whitfield(loved the new hairdo),rapper Fabolous,Gold medalist Shawn Merritt,and actress Demetria McKinney. There may have been more that attended but it was really crowded,a diva couldn’t see lol.

I also ran into my pretty facebook buddy Sarah Chapman. We finally got to meet in person! Some of you may not know who she is but she has the cutest lil diva daughter by the name of Chance Combs. We took a few snapshots at the party, by photographer Paras Griffin.

I was surprised that soo many people got up that early to attend but everyone looked very nice.There was great shoes and outfits in the room.One thing about Atlanta social scenes, we know how to get dressed for the occasion. I would like to say thanks to the staff over at The Garner Circle for the invite, I had a Pinkalicious time,cheers!

26th Annual Mayor’s Masquerade Ball in Atlanta

The UNCF 26th Annual Mayor’s Masked Ball was held at the Atlanta-Marriott-Marquis last night. There was a Holiday Silent Auction and Pre-Ball Reception first that was fun. My girlfriend Dr. Zelda Pittman invited me to attend this Pinktabulous event. You guys it was the most prettiest party I’ve ever been to and I would like to applaud the event planner who put together this ball! The details were very well thought out and I really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful table scapes,and atmosphere,stunning and absolutely gorgeous! Did I also tell yah the tickets were $500 smackaroos,well dang! Thank goodness I know folks, tee hee!

This masked ball was so entertaining! We saw the Parade of Stars and Dignitaries,with Chris Tucker,Bern Nadette Stanis, Dawn Lewis, Kimberly Cole, KiKi Shephard,Deetria McKinney, Ambassador Andrew Young and his wife Carolyn,Mayor Shirley Franklin and a host of others strut their stuff.

We then had an elegant dinner in which we had lobster tails and filet mignon,key lime pie and red velvet cake. I was in heaven,yum! We then saw The Parade of Masks which was very fun to watch, the masks were very extravagant!

I loved my pink mask designed by the Wilbourn Sisters they also modeled their masks and clothing at the party!

Later on people started dancing and mingling and then En Vogue performed! They did a great job singing some of their old hits! One of the girls couldn’t make it because she got snowed in, she lives in Virginia. The Masquerade Ball raised over 28,000 for the United Negro College Fund at this event.Wow great job and God Bless those who donated for the cause,its so important!

At the Ball they had alot of great items for auction, like a signed guitar from Jay Z, paintings,jewels and more. Shout out to Zelda for inviting me. I had a great time going to the Mayor’s Ball and cant wait to go again next year! You know we have a new mayor now, Kasim Reed I wonder how he will do this event next year,hmm? I had a chance to step out and boogy a lil bit over the weekend with song bird Chrisette Michele and Sammy! Chrisette hosted an after party at Pure Atlanta niteclub! Also Jadore magazine was celebrating their 2nd year anniversary! So it was a huge affair! Chrisette Michele has a new album that is out called,Epiphany thats in stores now! I have it and its fab!

We all hung out at Pure Atlanta niteclub and you know your girl was extremely tired.DJ J1 from Hot 107.9 was playing some great tunes as I watched the GoGo Vixens shake it up! Those girls can dance whew! I dont function well after 9pm but I was trying to hang with the young folks lol.

I had fun chatting with Vice President of Jadore Magazine David Gilmore and others in the V.I.P. section. I saw Roger Bobb and some new rap groups,Demetria McKinney and some of the cast of,”Why Did I Get Married”,and more. Grey Goose was the official liquor sponsor and I must say I had a great time!
