I’m really loving fashion editor for Wonderland magazine Julia Sarr-Jarmois. She recently gave some styling advice and more to Top Shop,  let’s check out what she has in her ipod, clothing style and more!

My style signature is… mixing loads of different things together, textures, prints, colours. I like looks to be bold, but still fun.

The SS12 show that blew me away was… Meadham Kirchhoff, the collection was beautiful and there were dancers that made the whole thing feel uplifting. I smiled the whole way through.

The one piece I saw on the SS12 catwalks that I have to have… are the Prada flame sandals. They’re amazing. You couldn’t help but smile when you caught a glimpse of your feet in them.

For a piece to be chosen as part of my EDIT… it has to be fun! I like colours and prints to be bold and unusual, even exaggerated, matched with interesting or unexpected textures.

My biggest influence right now is… Romy Schneider. I’ve been researching a lot of old films recently for an upcoming shoot, and I’m obsessed with Clouzot’s L’Enfer, and more specifically Romy’s character, Odette.

If I could go back to any era… I’d love to live in ancient Egypt. I could definitely hang out with Cleopatra, wear lots of gold and have lots of cats.

Growing up I wanted to… run a sweet shop

My earliest fashion memory is… attending a Chanel couture show aged 13. A family friend invited me, knowing how much I loved fashion. I’ve still got the invitation.

My all time favourite designers are… Azzedine Alaia, Miuccia Prada & Elsa Schiaparelli. Alaia’s clothes are amazing. When you wear one of his pieces you instantly feel like a 90s super model. I was lucky enough to visit him in his studio in Paris and he’s a real artist.

Julia’s SS12 Styling Tips…

Clash your stripes!
Layer different shade of pastels.
Wear bold statement shoes.
Go for bright and printed socks.
Invest in accented accessories.

Stylist to the stars,Patricia Fields shows us girlies how to put fun looks together. She is best known for her outrageous get ups shown on Sex & The City and that huge signature flower. I love her bold style and although I wouldn’t necessarily wear many of these looks, it’s still fun to see how she makes the magic happens. On the weekends some of these ensembles would be fun or on a girl’s night out. I love that she is care free and takes bold steps in fashion, more of us should do that like muah ha! Enjoy and Happy Thursday!

fashion stylist 300x199 From my inbox, what to wear?

This is a new thing I’m trying out and thought it would be a great asset to my blog. I get tons of emails and although I can’t answer every single one of them, I do find some that I would like to share with my readers. I really appreciate each and every one of you stopping by and taking the time out to read my randomness, events, celeb stuff, fashion and my obsession with pretty pink girly things lol. Well, today I got a pretty good email from a friend on facebook. Here is the q/a hope you enjoy!

Question:

“I need some help. I am so clueless when it comes to fashion and name brands. I have a very high profile meeting here in Atlanta next week and need to have some labels on me (clothes, purse, shoes). The people in the meeting will be definitely looking at me and will notice if I am not carrying a brand name bag or shoes (I will fill you in later)

This is where you come in- please tell me what brands are ladies wearing or carrying? (please dont laugh too hard… I know, I am embarrassed to even ask).

I really dont want to spend too much, so the Minolos are out. Please help!!!

Thanks a bunch!!! and Hugs!!!”

When I got this email It really peaked my interest because I know I have the same issue when trying to cover events and more. People may think, wow she has the life and she gets to do this and that. It’s really hard to try to find something to wear for events that are sometimes 5 times a week. It’s not that fun people! I’ve always shared that I am a thrifty shopper and that I shop very frugally. Well when this young lady asked me this question, I told her that If It was me, I would hire a stylist to pull things for her. When you hire a stylist, it would be cheaper than paying for a complete look. You can just pay a stylist and return it or just pay for what you really liked, easy breezy! Most stylist have a large selection to choose from at their place. You pay a rental fee and your all done. I also referred  her to 3 great stylist that I know in the area.
