New Me, for a New Year!

Yes, I’m sick with it! I’m dead serious about hitting the gym and taking Talking With Tami to the next level! I’m not playing and I feel this will be my year! Woot! My email box is blowing up and my cell is going off more and more for hosting events, traveling and more! God is good and I do have the faith that I will be doing more in 2010! I’m so motivated.

Taking this new pic for the new year, changing my website done by Sara Noto and having my good friend Lisa Wu Hartwell as my personal trainer is a great sign to let the world know, I’m trying really hard to be the very best I can be. With will power, dedication and my faith in Jesus Christ I can do all things!

I got the makeover to show the world what I can look like, but more importantly that I’m a humble person with a kind spirit. My glam squad hooked me up, don’t you agree? lol. Celebrity photographer Rob Ector took this picture for me, my makeup was done by Celebrity makeup artist LaTasha Wright,my hair was styled by Valerie Hamilton and my clothes were put together by Fashion Stylist Leah Taylor. I was feeling so pretty this day, thanks to the staff over at Taylor Ector Studios!

Also thanks to you guys for stopping by daily! I really appreciate each and every one of you.I want you, this year to step your game up and be the very best at whatever it is that God has touched you to do.I’m the biggest cheerleader for those doing great things in our community! What a Makeover!

I am working on something very nice here in Atlanta. It involves our top celebrity photographers and I think people will be pleased with the outcome. Well Rob Ector was my third stop to see on my journey and we had a ball! Rob Ector is a fellow Clevelander that I met at Derek Blanks studio a few years ago. We were laughing and talking about missing the food we grew up on lol.

Rob has now branched off on his own and now has his own studio called, Taylor Ector Studios which he co-owns with his sister. I was very impressed by his work because he has shot some great people. He is a very talented person and I love to see young men start their own businesses! We sat down and talked about the business and he told me that his studio is a one stop shop. When you book with him, you can get a stylist which is his sister, Leah Taylor,Makeup by LaTasha Wright and Hair by Valerie Hamilton. All are the bomb and have glammed up the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

Well it was my turn to try them out and all I can say is wowza! I came in a hot mess and left feeling very sexy and beautiful! First I sat down with celebrity makeup artist, LaTasha Wright. She said she has worked with many people in the industry and she use to work for MAC Cosmetics, before doing her own thing. When we were talking she said that she had just did Atlanta Housewife, Sheree Whitfield’s face for the reunion show. I was very impressed with how she beat my face! I have gotten my face down by alot of makeup artist but I’m going to say she is in my top three now, lol.

Next Valerie Hamilton did my hair. I loved her accent but she said she is from Connecticut lol. She said she has done Mary J Blige to soo many other celebrities, I was soo happy to sit in her chair lol. She added hair clips to my hair and styled it in like 20 minutes! She works very fast and it came out so darn cute! I felt very glamourous!

Then I was styled by Celeb Stylist Leah Taylor which, is the Co Owner of Taylor Ector Studios. She styled NeNe Leakes in the alter ego show on Atlanta Housewives and may more notable celebs. In her style suite she had the latest clothing, hats, coats ,sparkly dresses, shoes and accessories and young girl would love to play in there! Watch out Rachel Zoe, Leah is coming for you, lol! The style Diva put me in a Black Jumpsuit, Black Christian Louboutin shoes and glitzy bracelets and a necklace. I felt like I was Janet Jackson’s stand in,because that’s who I thought I looked like, lmao!

Then it was my buddy Rob to take my pics. I’m very comfortable around Rob because he reminds me of a lil brother I never had lol. He is very creative and can build any set that you are thinking of.He has shot Eva Pigford,Lance Gross,Tameka Tiny Cottle and Antonia Toya Carter just to name a few. I know you guys are wondering, where is my pink? That pic will also be revealed for my new banner in the new year, ha!

Pamperedpetiteonline.com is the website for both Pampered Petite Posh
Parties and Events and Pampered Petite Children’s Salon and Spa Franchise
(Coming Soon). Pampered Petite Posh Parties & Events, the prelude to the
Salon and Spa, offers upscale event and party planning services for the
Junior Chic. We provide custom party designing and theme development,
budget advisory, guest list management, catering, event set up, party
facilitation,event break down, Do-It-Yourself party kits, small gifts, and
Etiquette Workshops. Our consultants are located in Atlanta and New Jersey
and New York.

TalkingWithTami: What made you start this company?

While researching the different services we wanted to provide at Pampered
Petite Children’s Salon and Spa we decided to expand the party planning
services as an entity of it’s own. Inspired by Sweet 16, Posh Tots, and NYC
Prep, we decided to offer affordable event planning services for children
with equivalent class, style, and exclusivity offered to adults. You don’t
have to be Super Rich to have a Super Party.

TalkingWithTami: Has it been rewarding for you?

The reward is great! We live by a quote we first heard from Oprah, “Find
your passion and allow yourself to get paid for doing what you love”. Each
of us have a passion for party planning. We adore children and the look of
excitement and joy found on a child’s face during a party is gratifying.
Also, as parents and aunts we recognize how stressful party planning can
become, especially for the working class parent who doesn’t have time to
count RSVP’s. We wanted to offer a service that would be beneficial to both
parent and child.

TalkingWithTami: Of all the parties you do,which was a fav and why?

Carmen: My favorite party is the Pampered Petite Signature Spa Party.
Little girls dressed in Terri Robes, wearing face masques making lotions
or getting manicures. We try to incorporate Etiquette lessons into our
craft projects or activities, grooming little girls into little ladies.
Who wouldn’t love that?

Katisha: My favorite party is the Pampered Petite Baby Shower Party. Being a
mother of three myself , it is my pleasure to make another mother feel
special and worry free for the day offering homemade cakes, handmade
chocolate covered pretzels, marshmallows, and signature games, I enjoy
making another mother feel as special as I did bringing life into this
world. Its a great give back!

TalkingWithTami: Before you started this co, what was your career in the past,and why the
transition?

I once read that most Entrepreneurs start multiple businesses. Needless to
say Pampered Petite is one of many businesses for all the planners. Carmen
has an online Television show called Urban Runway TV and a boutique PR
agency called Girl Six Media. Katisha is a former Medical Administrator and
assist with a family business. Ariane is a Celebrity Make-Up artist and
Principal of Pretty Girl Inc, Natashia is a host for Urban Runway TV and
assist with her family business.

TalkingWithTami: Who would be someone that you would love to do a party for and why?

We’d love to plan a party for Sasha and Malia Obama at the White House.
We’d love to honor the first “African American” Fist Family and show our
gratitude and appreciation for their strength and victory.
