2nd Annual Hat-ti-tude Big Hat Brunch

Over the weekend, I went to a fabulous affair. It was the second “Hat-ti-tude: Big Hat Brunch.” Held at Pampered Nail Spa in the Castleberry Hills area of Atlanta, attendees wore all sorts of small hats, big hats, derby-style hats and more in great colors. Jerika Head is the founder of the organization, and she started the event in honor of her dear mom who passed from bladder cancer.

When you checked in, there was a welcome packet and information on different diseases as well as colorful ribbons representing various cancers. Each person selected from the ribbons to honor people in their lives who have been affected by cancer.

Mostly all the women wore white attire and different colored hats to the event, and they all looked ravishing! There was catered food, Ciroc cocktails, artists, singers and shopping vendors. They gave away prizes as well to lucky raffle ticket-holders, and one lady went home with a gift basket worth $2,000! I would like to thank Jerika for inviting me to this worthwhile event. It was a great affair, and I can’t wait to attend next year!

3rd Annual Cancers 4 A Cause

Zone 4′s 3rd Annual Cancer For A Cause event was held last night and let’s just say I thought the fire marshalls was going to be called out! It was held at the Mason Murer Art Gallery. It was packed and lots of people came out to support Polow the Don’s cause.It was an award show, fashion show and music showcase all in the name of fighting cancer. I tried to keep my eyes open with tooth picks to see if Polow was actually going to be in attendance but I didn’t see him and a Diva was tired after midnight lol.

When I left the party,it was still going on. You guys can have it, momma needed a bed and a blankey lol. Keri Hilson was the host for the evening and she looked amazing as usual. She said she lost her auntie to cancer, so this was a very special event to her.I didn’t get a chance to chat with her because they ate her up as soon as she hit the carpet lol. I did get a chance to meet singer Michelle from Destiny’s Child. I giggled for a moment because she has a very high pitched voice like me. She was fun and then I saw my boo actor Lance Gross.

I asked Lance did he see my blog post about him not having any clothes on, on Necole’s Bitchie’s site, he laughed. Then I tried real hard while interviewing him to get him to show me his abs but he was not having it… darn it! I also saw singer Lloyd in the house,models Cynthia Bailey in a pink sparkly dress Bree and Bianca Golden from Americas Next Top Model and everybody else and they cousin pookie was in the house.The fashion show, music and people were very interesting lol.
