Direct from Broadway I had a chance to see Burn the Floor at the beautiful Fox theatre! This time around the tour features So you think you can Dance Alumnis Anya Garnis, Pasha Kovalev,Robbie Kmetoni, Janeette Manhrara and Karen Hauer. I also got to hear vocalist Vonzell Solomon who was on American Idol as the 2nd runner up.She had a great voice! The show was very electrifying with Latin and Ballroom dancing. I loved when the show opened and the dancers were all over the theatre moving and shaking. It was like we were part of the show! The dancers had amazing moves and quick steps with a twist to the regular styles of dance that you would learn in a class, very different. The dance lifts and stunts were amazing! I loved the costumes and set design and ofcourse the high templed music. The show will be in Atlanta from March 22-27 so get your tickets if you are a true lover of dance! I would like to thank Broadway Across America for the personal invite! I had a blast!

With BURN THE FLOOR, you will feel, live on stage, all the passion, drama and sizzling excitement of 20 gorgeous champion dancers in a true theatrical experience, a performance with a grace and athleticism that The New York Times calls “Dazzling!” The Times (London) calls it “the summer’s hottest ticket”!
From Harlem’s hot nights at The Savoy, where dances such as the Lindy, Foxtrot and Charleston were born, to the Latin Quarter where the Cha-Cha, Rumba and Salsa steamed up the stage, Burn the Floor takes audiences on a journey through the passionate drama of dance. The elegance of the Viennese Waltz, the exuberance of the Jive, the intensity of the Paso Doble – audiences will experience them all, as well as the Tango, Samba, Mambo, Quickstep and Swing.
BURN THE FLOOR is directed and choreographed by Jason Gilkison.
