My friends Mindless Behavior covers the “Decades Issue” of Kontrol Magazine looking rather funkdified! I met these guys a few months back and they were a lot of fun to hang out with plus my kids thought they were everything! Yesterday young tweens headed out for a fun filled afternoon to get their bowl on and meet teen heart throbs Mindless Behavior. The male group is comprised of four adorable young men; Princeton, Roc Royal, Ray Ray and Prodigy. The meet and greet was held at 300 Bowling Alley in Atlanta. My tweens — along with many other glam girls in training and youthful fly guys — made their way to the bowling alley in their best outfits to get a glimpse of the foursome. OMG Girlz, the Glow Girlz, and singer R.L. from the R& B group Next came out for the event.

I think I scored major cool points with my kids because both of them like the group. We bowled a little, snacked on bites and had a great time chatting with the guys. Princeton was such a sweetie and even showed me how to work my new Ipad, gotta love the kids! My daughter likes him a lot, a mess! I’m sure my daughter will enjoy this post. I met mindless behavior a few weeks back at the Soul Train Awards. They were too cute and were full of rambunctious energy. They chatted with me about Thanksgiving and more and then later I saw them perform on stage. They did an awesome job and now they hit the cover of Rolling Out for this week. The group consist of Roc Royal, Princeton,Prodigy and Ray Ray. I don’t think think boy/girl groups will ever go away lol. How did each of you become members of Mindless Behavior?
Roc Royal: I’m 14 years old and I’m from Los Angeles. I joined the group after auditioning with 500 other kids. Keisha Gamble picked me.
Princeton: I’m 14 years old and I’m also from L.A. I starred in Travie McCoy’s music video “Cupid’s Chokehold.” Our managers saw me on MTV and they called choreographer Dave Scott. Luckily, I knew Dave since I was six years old and it was like six degrees of separation. I auditioned with them the next week and I made the group.
Prodigy: I’m 14 and I’m from Philadelphia. I was discovered on YouTube. Our choreographer, Dave Scott, found me on YouTube and flew me to L.A. That is when I met Princeton and Rock.
Ray Ray: I’m 14 years old and I’m from Los Angeles. I was Krumping for a local group in Los Angeles headed by Tommy the Clown. A guy named Gary Jordan saw me dance and told me they were looking for a fourth member [for] Mindless Behavior. I auditioned at midnight and I made it. Three years ago.

New Hip Hop & R&B Sensation 3D

Today was a fun day! A good friend of mine had a meet and greet/listening party with a new group called,3d! I know you guys may not have heard of them but you will soon! 3D consist of, Dre,D, and DJ! Two of the young men are boxer Roy Jones Jr sons and the other member is a cousin. Two rap and the other one sings, they were entertaining to watch! Dre is 16 he is the rapper,D is 18 and the singer, and DJ is 16 and he raps and beatbox. The handsome trio told me that they have incorporated their group and that they are shoooting a reality show about their quest to get a record deal.

They have also been shopping around for a label. They said thats alot of work to do lol. They have been on school tours and camps. They were on Bow Wow’s Price of Fame tour and also been on tour with Rhianna right before she blew up! The guys joked with me on how they use to eat KFC with her in the trailers lol. I asked the guys what was their fav song and they all said at the same time, “Body Rock“. They said they came out with that song a couple of months ago. They said the song is about meeting a girl  and making her feel like a lady.

I got a chance to chat with Roy Jones Jr and asked him what he thought about the group. He said he was very proud of them. I had no idea that Dre and DJ were Roy Jones twin sons lol. He spoke very highly of all of them,with a huge grin on his face lol. He said,” it’s so fun to see all of them come up”. He said,” only God could have brought them this far”. He said, he has tried to instill in them that with hard work, it will pay off.  He said that he hopes that he was a good example for them. He also taught them to never give up no matter what! You can only get better!

I thought I was going to have a problem with Roy Jones because I know that some boxers can be so over the top lol. After being around him for a couple of hours I found him to be quiet,funny and humble. I like people like that. The group 3D made everyone feel right at home and they all had great personalities. Shortly after the meet and greet,Christal Jordan of Enchanted PR announced for all of us to go into the studio to hear some of their music.

The guys performed some of their songs and played about 4 tracks. I really liked the song Body Rock but my favorite song was Melody. Melody was a slow song with great words. I just liked the beat and the words the most. Im not really a music critic but I know what I like and that was one of them. The young men are from Pensacola, Florida but reside in Atlanta,Ga now.
