Essie was the official polish used at New York Fashions Week for designer Tory Burch. The look of the nails were very soft and natural to compliment the romantic feel of the floral collection. Mademoiselle was the Essie shade the manicurist used on the models.It’s their number one best seller! This is one of my favorite colors too!  My number 2 favorite shade is Ballet Slippers…Pinktastic! I attended an event a few weekends ago and I got a cute little goody bag on my way out. I didn’t think much of it, till one day I needed some hand lotion and remembered that I had some new products to sample inside that bag. I remember seeing a tube of shea butter from Farmhouse Fresh that said, Whoppie Cream Shea Butter. It’s a pink tube, so it caught my attention right away. I get hundreds of products to try but this was something brand new and unique, so I wanted to give it a shot.

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Candice Swanepoel helped unveil the new VS Fantasies body care and fragrance collection today. At The Grove in Los Angeles she did an in store of the new collection and posed for the cameras. I was just sent some new samples to try so I will be sure to let you guys know how it smells. Last Friday, June 17, JCPenney at the Mall of Georgia held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch the beauty brand, Sephora, inside their store. Beauty seekers can now go to JCPenney to shop for beauty items at their fingertips. It’s a makeup girl’s dream place and, on the day of the grand opening, my daughter, her bestie and I headed up to see the new store.

They had a custom-made Sephora cake they handed out to guests as well as complimentary makeup totes. How fun! They pretty much carry the same thing as the regular stores but, of course, it is smaller in size. I saw over 50 brands like Hello Kitty Beauty, Urban Decay, Nars, Bare Escentuals, Philosophy, DKNY, and the list goes on and on. Also, I spotted Sephora’s on collection of lip glosses, tools, accessories and more!

Makeup artists were there to do mini makeovers and show people around the store. I asked JCPenney beauty manager, Merissa Monahan, why they added Sephora, and she said they wanted to reach a new demographic. The store is a great addition to JCPenney since their renovation. Glad to see them tapping into another market. Thanks to Merissa for the personal invite!

Hey guys I just got some new OPI nail polishes to review and this time they sent me the Serena Williams Glam Slam English Collection. I received today the Grape…Set…Match(purple) and  Royal Shine-Ness(Silver) and Servin’ Up Sparkle. I only used 2 of the collection because the Servin up Sparkle was very sheer and hard to photograph but I would definitely use that one for a top coat on top of another polish.

I liked the purple polish the best and with one application it had already covered my nail. The silver color took a few more coats to get full coverage. I would wear these shades on a fab night out on the town since they both are very shimmery. Each has lots of sparkle to them and I liked how they looked on my skin tone.
