Takers Red Carpet premiere in ATL!

Oh my, today was a good day! I am exhausted and just got back from the red carpet premiere of Takers at Atlantic Station, Regal Cinemas. Everyone came out to get a glance and see their fav stars walk the red carpet. Funny thing, I wasnt going to go because I knew it was going to be total mayhem but something told me to go check it out anyway, so Pia and I headed down there. The carpet was very organized believe it or not lol.

The carpet was packed and Allied gave us clearance to get photo opts! Shortly afterwards the celebs started coming faster and faster! I saw The Producer of the movie,Will Packer(Rainforest Films)T.I.,Tiny,Michael Ealy,Paul Walker,Teyana Taylor,Lisa Wu Hartwell,Cynthia Bailey,Judge Hatchett,Tyler Perry and more! It was mobbed and the fans were screaming as bentleys,porches,mercedes and more pulled up. I had a great spot because I was standing where they had to tell the publicist their name before they walked the carpet,so I got some decent shots.

We left after the carpet because we were exhausted but I think the movie will do extremely well! Enjoy the pics and happy Wednesday! Thanks to Allied again for allowing us to come! It was my assistant Pia’s first red carpet and she really enjoyed it! The movie comes out this Friday!

Cats recap

Last thursday night I had a chance to check out the Broadway play Cats. I’ve seen the commercials for it several times and I couldn’t wait to check it out. Lisa Wu Hartwell called me and wanted to see it too, so we met each other down there. I also gave away two tickets and the winner was Arlynn. Her and her girlfriend met Pia and I down there too.

They had one of the performers in the lobby taking pictures with people and she was funny. We all went inside and the play started. The Cats performers came out in the audience and sang their opening number. I did notice a huge bag that fell from up top on to the stage, never in the play did they ever acknowledge that either, I think it was an accident. During the play I noticed early on that it was one of those plays where they have no dialogue just all singing. I was getting restless fast lol.

I didn’t understand what was going on in the play and all the different cats were running around and singing and dancing. There was a male cat that all the women liked, I figured that out and then an older lady cat that the other cats didn’t want around, I think? It was the younger hipper cats against the older cats I reckon.It was going over my head so fast I couldn’t keep up lol. During intermission, people were chatting and saying that they didnt understand it and started to leave. We tried really hard to watch it but I just don’t have the brain power and attention span for that kinda art lol. One lady tried to explain to me and Pia what the play was about but I kept looking at her face painted like a Cat and blank starring her.

It was definitely not for me but I know that the play does very well and it was sold out. It was just not my taste at all. Afterwards we went out to eat and we had a great time at Sambucas. I guess I will have to try to google it one day and read up on what was going on. Thanks to Broadway Across America for the tickets.

Bronner Brothers Part Deux

Yesterday Pia and I traveled back down to the Bronner Brothers hair show again. It was more packed than the day before omg! Everybody and their friends and neighbors were out in full force! The day before was calm compared to yesterday! Glenn Jackson was doing a hair battle again and this time the models could walk! I didnt stay to see the whole competition but from a glimpse on the tv monitors it was great times over there.

I saw a huge crowd gathered around Keisha Cole’s mom getting her weave done. I was blank starring and wondering what all the fuss was about lol. Then I saw Chance from Real Chance of Love or whatever that reality show was called, that I never watched. His hair was gorg but the attitude was terrible(too Hollywood,sit down)!

We then went up to the V.I.P. lounge and some celebs came out like Cynthia Bailey and her cute daughter Noelle, Jazzy Pha, Vivica Fox and her boo Slim and other people in the entertainment business.

Later on we were invited out to the Design Essentials Anniversary party held at the Twelve Hotel at Atlantic Station. We had a great time and all the parties were fab! Check out the pics and I would like to thank April Love and Jamal King for the invite!
