Fashion Designer Amy Smilovic

As you guys already know, I was away covering Mercedez-Benz Fashion week/swim. Omg, I had an amazing time!It was my very first time ever visiting South Beach,Miami! Everything was Pinktastic,can I say that again,yes “Pinktastic”! I came back home wanting to buy every long breezy sun dress I could find lol. The people and fashions there were to die for, wow!

I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful lady by the name of Amy Smilovic here in Atlanta,Ga at an event, and we kept in touch ever since. Her press team Liz and Maryan always sends me an invite to see Amy’s newest collection. Amy is the owner of Tibi(www.tibi.com) and she showed her resort 09/10 collection in South Beach Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at gorgeous Raleigh Hotel on July 16th.

When asked what was her inspiration for her collection she was quoted as saying,”It reminds you of The Island of Bali”. She then went on to say,think Christy Turlington in a chic episode of Baywatch”. Now thats hott! I loved every piece that came down that darn runway, especially the beach cover up in pink,Im going to look for that Amy lol.  The jumpsuits and asymmetrical style dresses were the business,loved that!

I loved how the runway was set up, all white and the Tibi goody bags were very nicely designed. I just so happened to be seated by Amy’s hubby Frank and their two beautiful boys. They were awesome and the littliest one was so shy but adorable. If I could still fit into a two piece, I would love to buy several of her suits,they were very sexy and brightly colored and looked great coming down the runway. The models she picked were fun and great looking too.

I got to go behind the scenes and see all the chaos which I love. The models were getting all glammed up, makeup was fierce and loved their wavy and wet hairdos. The shoes they wore were very nice in a gold color,loved those. Wow maybe in my next lifetime I can be a model(Dear God, please make me taller & thinner next time around lol).

I also saw some celebrities at Tibi’s show, which were Kelly Killoren Bensimon(The Real Housewives of NY) who was corresponding for a lifestyle show for Plum Tv and an actress from Jersey Girls, Dina Manzo.
