tyra Chris Tucker gives back!

I really like Chris Tucker and Im just not saying that because he likes my daughter lol. Every year we go to his annual Chris Tucker Foundation Christmas event. The event was held at the Boys&Girls Club in Atlanta. The organization always have plenty of toys, food and entertainment for the kiddies. This year they even had toys left over..wow! They had a mini talent show, dancers, comedian, and singers too. It was a nice atmosphere filled with the holiday spirit so much fun for the kids and parents! Its so nice to see celebs do great things in the community. My daughter Tyra always interviews him, and he remembers her & makes the big tv networks wait. Chris made an announcement yesterday to everyone that Tyra was his special lil reporter! She was beat red! Classic!chris Chris Tucker gives back!

06 243x300 Pink Spotlight Interview: Actor Brian White!

Hey Brian! I remember meeting you at Atlantic Station a couple of years ago on the red carpet for “Stomp the Yard”! You were so charismatic and I couldnt remember what I was suppose to ask you because your a hottie! Well, anyway lets start the interview lol….

TalkingWithTami.com: Brian you are a man with many talents what would you say was your most challenging role?

I think my most challenging “role” is the role I play daily as a potential “role model” to the millions of young people who may be looking to me as an example.

That is why I champion the WARM2Kids Charitable Foundation.  The acronym stands for “We’re All Role Models 2 Kids.”  The W2K mission is to become a global leader in providing financial, educational, and emotional support for today’s youth and to provide opportunities in youth education, development and mentoring programs nationwide.

TalkingWithTami.com: Of all the characters you’ve played which one do you think is the closest to the real you?

brian Pink Spotlight Interview: Actor Brian White!

I think all the characters I have played have small pieces of “me” within them, because they were all interpreted thru the filter of my brain.  However, other people script the actions, deeds and words of these characters, so those things are often very desperate from what the “real” Brian might say or do.

TalkingWithTami.com: You’ve created Phunk Phenomenon Urban Dance Theatre; is it the vision that you dreamed of when it was just a thought to do something for today’s youth?

From the beginning, the mission of Phunk has always been to reach out to today’s youth through the art of urban dance.   I think we have been very successful in realizing that vision and thru the Phunk Phenomenon Dance Complex we have been able to touch and enrich the lives of hundreds and thousands of young people.

TalkingwithTami.com: You’re in a new television show tell us about the show and your character.

77 Pink Spotlight Interview: Actor Brian White!

Up first is RPM, the newest “microseries” to come to TNT – to be aired within primetime episodes of Law & Order on TNT Tuesday, Oct. 21st &

29th at 8 p.m.  This crime-thriller from Mandalay Television stars Jonathon Schaech (Prom Night), Lori Heuring (Runaway Jury) an

d Brian White (Stomp the Yard) as Shawn Watkins — a career detective, always with an eye to his future.  Charming to a fault.

I also was blessed to join TNT’s drama pilot “Men of a Certain Age.” “Men” explores the bonds of male friendship through the eyes of three college buddies, Joe (Ray Romano), Owen (Andre Braugher) and Terry (Scott Bakula), who are in their 40s.

I will play Marcus, a charming salesman at Owen’s dad’s car dealership who gets promoted to sales manager when Owen is overlooked by his father.

TalkingWithTami.com: If you had one piece of advice

I’ll share a quote that I read to myself every morning, to help me stay focused and motivated…

“ Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful [people] with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

– Calvin Coolidge (30th President of the United States)
