I rrmember growing up in FreetownN which by the way is the capita of Sierra Leone.I must have been 16yrs old and I wanted my hair permed and my parents were not going to let me do it because they thought that it cost too much. So I went to to market and bought what is known to us as 'shampoo' which is actually custic soda. I apply tyo my hair add waited 3.ins and all of my hair fell out. The rest of it got shaved by my dad for not listening to them. So there you have it! With no wig to put on....

NOW I KNOW WHY OUR CREDIT IS SO BAD. WE SPEND ALL OUR MONEY ON HAIR (AND NAILS)!

IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF ALL BLACK WOMEN TOOK THE MONEY WE SPENT ON HAIR & PAID OUR DEBT. AND ALSO PAID OUR BILLS ON TIME!

WE WOULD BE THE RACE WITH THE #1 CREDIT!

I have a funny story. I have a pretty good grade of hair, but back when I was younger my mom would wash and blow dry my hair and it would look decent when I left for school, but the time I got home it was big poof ball. Don’t let it be picture day and mommy wanted to have me wear my hair down. I absolutely hated it because it would be all over the place by the time I got to school. I used to look like a lion everyday my hair wasn’t braided up. It was like day and night! My sister finally relaxed my hair in the 7th grade and to this day my mom says I never should have got a relaxer because my hair was so beautiful. To be honest it looks much better now to me, but she’s still in denial. But she never had to worry about having a big poofy fro, so hey!
