I’m not trying to be a hater, I swear I’m not. I had to go in the living room and get my readers to really review the shoe line that Shaunie O’Neal launched last month up close. I wanted to be excited since she and I share one thing in common and thats our love for shoes.
She collaborated with Chinese Laundry to come up with some great shoe designs for us shoenistas and from looking at the collection I’m feeling, well, um…lukewarm. They are ok. They remind me of what I can pick up at Bakers but I was just expecting to see fireworks. When looking at them, It was like someone gave me a sparkler that fizzled quick out on the 4th of July. I will say that I do like the Red Hot shoe, If I had to pick one. The price point is around $100 and up.
When celebrities create clothing lines and other things for us consumers, I always wonder do they think, “hmm, would I really wear this?” Or are they thinking,”with my star power people will buy it just because”. When in all actuality, they know damn well they would’t be caught dead wearing whatever they put their name on and just want to make a quick dollar. I hear she owns over 800 pairs of shoes so what happen here?

There is no way on God’s green earth that I would pay 100 dollars or more for Chinese Laundry’s brand!!
Nothing in the shoe line catches my eye; therefore, I won’t be racing to get a pair. I wish her much success, as I am sure some peole will purchase the shoes.
There is not way, I will spend my hard dollars buying any of them. As you said in your write up, why put your name on something which you know damn well you won’t take out the store. I wish her all the best in her ventures.

Love Shaunie to pieces, but I am so underwhelmed by her collection. *smh* Maybe she’ll come correct with the fall line….?
This is a very disappointing collection! Lala and Kim are doing better with Shoedazzle…atleast their pricing is in line with the product quality. Shaunie needs to go back to the drawing board!
I said the exact same things when I saw the line about two weeks ago. I mean that material is obviously cheap and you want us to pay what?

I’m a long time fan of Chinese Laundry and admire Shaunie for all her hard work. So to hear about the collaboration between the two I couldn’t wait to see the outcome! Her “Must Have” shoes on Chinese Laundry, are amazing – especially “Money Maker” which I bought to wear on a trip to Vegas with some friends. (:
U an familar with he Chinese Laundry line. They have a nice selection. Shaunie O’Neal’s line is not it. I am a woman who’s shoe game is on point. My closet makes her collection look like shopping at the second hand store.
