Rapper Joe Gutta pic by Drexina Nelson
TalkingWithTami: When did you decide you wanted to be a rapper? I was in the 8th grade. I would always crack on people and tell jokes in school. I then started writing rhymes and songs and it grew from there. In 10th grade I started going to the studio and in 11th grade I started taking it real serious.I attended Washington High School on the west end of Atlanta. At school I started getting compliments even though I loved football, but I started liking rapping more.
TalkingWithTami: You have three hit songs out. Mystery Girl,Put on Big, and Turr up. Where do you get your inspiration for your music? I get alot of my inspiration from going to the clubs, my environment, being around females. I stay in the streets to see whats going on. I get alof of inspiration from day to day people that surround me too.
TalkingWithTami: How has it been working with Moodswing Productions? It has been alot of progress so far. Now that they have created a buzz for me, people are proud of what Im doing. Moodswings is an independant label, but they do everything a major label would do anyway. Im cool with them.
TalkingWithTami: I know you have a family. How are you handling trying to maintain family life and being a rapper out on the road? Well I have lil brothers that look up to me that I cant see alot. Its very hard but I have to stay working. My folks be mad at me sometimes but im trying to get money lol.
TalkingWithTami: If you could work with any artists who would it be and why? I would love to work with T.I. he really motivates me, he always has something to say. He is a good writer! Lil Wayne because he is a genious to me! Young Jeezy because he keeps it all the way hood. Jadakiss because I love to listen to him, his whole album is tight! I like,” The Last Kiss” the new one. I Also like Fabolous, he is a smooth rapper.
