The Birthday Boy Robb

I had no idea I was going to a fab party at Tyler Perry’s mansion yesterday to celebrate a kids birthday. My friend Jonell said very casually,” hey bring the kids to a pool party”. So I did mapquest and when I saw how far it was from me, I had second thoughts lol. I was like,” wow this is far” because I already live out in the sticks myself lol. But I had already ran my mouth to my kids that we were going, so I couldnt back out. They were too excited to go.

Well as we turned the corner and pulled up to this address my mouth dropped open. It was a quiet street with nice scenery so I had no clue where I was going! Jonell tricked me! Jonell hosted the event for Lil Robb. It was Tyler Perry’s mansion that everyone has seen in his movie,Diary of a Mad Black Women! The gate was huge and you had to talk into the intercom to gain access. I was smiling ear to ear but shaking my head at the same time,because I had no clue this was where the party was at lol.

The house was gigantic and the biggest Ive ever seen so far! The house looked like the size of a hotel lol. When we parked and came up the steps I remembered that scene from the 2005 movie,” Diary of a Mad Black Woman” when Charles (played by Steve Harris) put Helen(played by Kimberly Elise) out on those same steps. Wow life is crazee!

We were there to celebrate Mira Morrow’s son Robbs 9th b-day. She is an actress and has been seen in commercials,movies and tv shows. She told me she will be in a  new movie called,” Pastor Brown”writtened by Rhonda Baraka. Wow, I know Rhonda too, she is very cool! There were lots of kids that came to swim, party and enjoy the sunshine. The pool was so pretty! Nicole Ari Parker was there as well with her two adorable kids Nicholas and Sophie, I love that name. Nicole mentioned that she is in a play with Jasmine Guy. She also has a role in Pastor Brown, which is due out this year.

The house was wonderful! Thanks so much for inviting us out Jonell, thanks for the pleasant surprise! The kids had a great time!
