Hey there guys, I survived the Oscars last night lol.Congrats goes out to Monique for winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress! Woot! I’ve never watched the whole show in my life but with the help of twitter, my friends kept me amused. It’s so funny to see all these huge celebrities come on the red carpet to then see them just never get it quite right.If I had half the coins these stars had, I would be soo sharp! Maybe it’s just me but I really didn’t see anything that really stood out!
Maybe I had to be on the carpet up close and personal, to really see the sparkle in the dresses lol. Most people looked like they just pulled something out of the closet and said, heck I will wear this! I would have pulled out all the stops if I was nominated but most stars were just plain and boring looking. I do not have a fav dress this time around maybe you do,chime in!
I guess this was the best dress I saw on the carpet. Sandra Bullock’s Marchesa gown.
Amanda was sparkly but washed out looking in Armani Prive
Zoe in Couture Givenchy hated this! It was doing too much!
Queen Latifah looks fab!

I loved Sandra Bullock’s hair and make up. I thought it looked very pretty. Sarah Jessica Parker’s hair and dress was a total mess in my opinion. Gabby is doing the best she can, I guess. I think Monique looked OK. I expected a little more though. Her dress wasn’t so memorable. I wasn’t happy with Zoe Saldana’s look. She’s so beautiful but the dress didn’t do much for her. Jennifer Lopez looked pretty, and that’s saying a lot for me cause I’m not a fan of hers.
I feel yah not a fan of jlo, Gabby looked like she just had someone glue decals on her dress to make it red carpet ready lol. Sandra Bullock looked nice,Sarah’s hair was just not going with that dress hated it! Zoe dont know who she is but she is too thin for my blood and that dress was horrid, the top part was enough!
Also watched the Oscars via satellite. Sandra B. is a winner. I always love Q Latifah. She is curvy, but dresses up perfectly. I like Mariah’s music, but never liked her fashion style. At Miley Cyrus: Can you still breathe? Jlo is OK. Vera Farmiga looks so feminine, love the color too. Gabby: I understand newbies.
Pretty much agree with most of your comment Tammi! Sandra Bullock took the best dressed award. As for Monique, I am thinking she wanted people to remember the moment, not her dress. She took the route of “classic”. The color of the dress was in honor of actress Hattie McDaniel, the very first African American to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. She wore the same color dress when she received her Oscar award 70 years ago in 1940.
As for Gabby….my mouth is “duck taped” too!!
Cheryl thanks for pointing that out, wow didnt know that, I didn’t like the way the flower was sticking out of her hair either. I wish Niecy Nash would have showed her how to wear a flower. lol
Hey Tami I thought Elizabeth Banks dress was beautiful…especially the top. They got kind of ruffle happy at the bottom but I thought it was a beautiful dress.
