Marlo Hampton Celebrates Covering The June Issue Of 'Simply Buckhead'

Hello my lovelies, I had such a crazy afternoon yesterday trying to cover so many events, yikes! When the weather gets warm here in ATL, there is so much to do and a lot going on! I started off by heading to a red carpet event in Cobb county but little did I know, it was a Braves baseball game going on, so parking was terrible and I left! I was juggling so many things in my schedule and trying to attend all these happenings in the city but did hurry over to my longtime friend and Reality Diva, Marlo Hampton’s cover release party.

She looked amazing as usual wearing a purple tulle couture gown with a sleeked-back dramatic ponytail and sparkly makeup for her June issue of Simply Buckhead! The event was held in Buckhead at Davio’s restaurant on the patio. Lots of fashionable guest were in the room and we sipped on champagne, munched on delish hors d’oeuvres and danced to music while we all enjoyed the warm weather.

During the event, I got the opportunity to sit down with Marlo and ask her how she felt about being on the cover of magazine. My question almost brought her to tears when she responded to me saying, “it is such an honor and coming from someone who was in the foster care system and my background, I’ve come a long way and I feel worthy”.

I asked her how it all came about with the June cover and she said that Simply Buckhead reached out to her for their “Collector’s Edition” and knew that she had fabulous investment pieces, collectibles and she was such a fashion enthusiast. After the editors viewed her collection, they offered her an interview and photo shoot then later decided to put her on the cover, wow!

If you were not aware, the style maven just opened a fashion showroom called, Le’Archive where you can rent luxury items for red carpet events and more! It’s extremely exclusive and you have to be a person in the entertainment business though. In her showroom, she houses over 5,000 runway and archive designer pieces for rentals.

I was able to pick up a copy of the magazine during the event and in her interview she said, “I want people to enjoy the pieces; I want them to appreciate them”. Hampton is also very selective on who gets to wear her pieces like fashion stylists, film and tv wardrobe consultants, magazine editors and celebs. It’s also gaining a lot of traction because some of her clients include Doja Cat’s stylist, and many more notables.
