Frankie & Neffe
Ok, I really tried to post this last night but I was way to exhausted from partyin it up! I could have sworn I was at a live taping of “The Frank & Neffe Show”, front and center! I didnt know if I was getting ambushed or punked but it was pure theatrics throughout the whole evening lmao! I got an invite from Ms.Tamiko who represents Hitt Afta Hitt. When I saw the media invite in my inbox, first thing I thought was… oh oh! I didnt know what to expect from the two ladies. Ive heard that Frankie can be a tough cookie lol.
Then I thought to myself,hmm this may be fun, and I shouldnt act so damn uppity! In my line of business I cant cover one thing and not another, and heck most of the grander parties are boring anyway! So I changed my mind and headed to Uptown Lounge where the premier party for Frankie & Neffe new reality show was.

When I arrived it was packed! The color scheme was black & white,balloons all over, and people were everywhere! On the tv monitors people were watching the show and everyone was semi quiet,laughing here and there. The first person I noticed was Frankie in her zebra print fitted dress,auburn colored hair and black heel boots. She was fierce in a “Frankie” kinda way ha! She was seated and yelling out, “Holla” throughout the whole show lol.

Neffe was snuggled up on the sofa with her boo Soul Low,wearing long extensions,silver metallic mini dress, and rhinestoned flat sandals. Her makeup was very nice. Didnt like her hair but she still looked great. I immediately introduced myself to her because I knew she didnt remember me, because thats how celebs are,they forget you quickly. I said to her, “hi, can I get a qoute from you about what to expect from your new season”? She starred at me and started studdering, “um,um, I cant really discuss anything right now” I said,” oh ok, well can you tell me what your having”? She said, “no not really”. I said ok, how about a pic of you and your fiance? She said,”sure” and posed for me.

This is the killer! As I walked pass Frankie to take a seat,she yelled out,”Get Yo Ass out my face”! I was so embarrassed but laughed and quickly moved,but gave her this look to kill! Everyone starred at me,but it was clearly just an accident. I had to get by and she was sitting on a low couch, I was standing, so I had to get pass her. The outburst was heard by everyone. I just didnt understand why she said that to me. Frankie reminds me of my sister,but thats a whole other blog post,but I know how to deal with people like Frankie. You love on them,pray for change and keep it movin!
I sat down and started talking with a young lady that was seated next to me and saw that she kept conversating back and forth with Neffe.It was clear that she was a member of her entourage. I just politely asked her,”hey what is Neffe having”? She said “allegedly” that she was having a girl, due in October lol. See it aint that hard, if you really want to know something… Im just saying!
So after the preview everyone started to disburst and the party got poppin. Johnnie Cabbell CEO of Hitt Afta Hitt went on stage and presented Frankie and Neffe with plaques to wish them well for their new season. Neffe is signed to Johnnie’s management company. Im very good friends with Johnnie’s wife Jayda(www.divvadishes.com) and I support their fun events.

It was very crowded and I really couldnt see who all came out to support the ladies but their families,friends,glam squads and more were in full effect to wish them well! I was mad at seeing Ms.Sophia,radio personality from V103. She looked amazing and her makeup was hott to death and loved that dress! I had just had my makeover early that day and Ms.Sophia had me beat ha! Go head girl, you worked it last nite!

After the ladies received their plaques, Frankie immediately hit the dance floor. She dropped it like it was hott about 10 times I lost count, while Neffe and Soul Low bumped and grind the night away. Frankie grabbed the mic, saying curse words and saying “holla” a million times, it was so funny you had to be there. you can tell her song of choice was “Hoodrat”, because she really started dancing hard to that song…It’s early in the a.m. I cant!

I also got to meet another addition of their family which was a young lady named, Elite Noel. Neffe introduced her to me after she felt more comfortable. Frankie grabbed the mic and asked Elite to come on stage to sing. Frankie yelled out, “Keyshia not the only one who can sing”! Elite declined going on stage, too funny lol.Neffe told me Elite is the youngest, I said,” oh wow,there’s more”?

I had a good time at the party premier and wish the ladies well in tv land. Sidenote: Its funny to me too that all these shows are getting picked up, but when you have an educational,inspirational,motivational type show,noone wants to even consider it,while these shows are popping up everywhere like zits! The entertainment business is so backwards and frustrating sometimes,but Im not going to give up,not for anyone. The Frankie and Neffe show airs tuesday nights at 10:30pm. on B.E.T. Woot! Keep it pinky!

The way that you handled someone screaming out, “get your ass out of my face”, when I’m sure if she was paying attention she knew it was not intentional, was very lady like and appropriate.
She could certainly take a page out of your book!
Anywhoo, I regret to admit that I too am curious about how this show will be, even though Im certain that your blog was a clear indication.
Please keep pushing for those inspirational shows….we SURELY NEED them!
It took every Pinktastic bone in my body not to go off. As a member of the press I try to stay professional. We all like to have fun, but you can clearly tell she was trying to embarrass me. She has a problem and if you look at pics,you can see she was holding a drink and what person in recovery drinks alcohol? Thats a no no! So I ignored her with good reason.
Absolutely ridiculous! Tami, you are a better person than I am. I would not have gone, or walked out after being treated in such a manner.
Good for you for setting a standard- its not being “uppity”. You shouldn’t have to lower your professional standards like that. Do you really think Oprah would even consider attending an event like that?
I am appauled that BET would even put this show on. Do we have to reject ourselves to this nonsense??? BET should try to produce more shows that show intelligent, classy, inspirational men and women who are trying actually do something good. Its time for BET to get bought out!

I think Frankie is back on drugs again or she’s just plain crazy. She really need to start acting her age. I think thats why Neffi is so frustrated with her because she wants a real mother and grandmother to her kids.

I cracked up all through your post! I like the way you keep it real and respectful at the same time. I can not Believe Keisha Cole Would want her family to make fools of themselves this way, but she probably agrees with it so they can get their own money and leave hers alone.

They really need to put frankie n rehab she looks an absolute mess! and I pray neffe get her tubes tide but im glad these ladies are living better
