Pinky Review: I first smelled the new fragrance Bombshell The Summer Edition back a few months ago when I met with my friend that works at Victoria’s Secret for lunch during NYFW. She made me a goody bag filled with new scents and more. When I sprayed the sample bottle, I told her It was going to be a hit! I was too excited about it and she said it would be coming to stores soon. She didn’t forget that I LOVED the fragrance and sent it to me the other day as a birthday treat and to say thanks for my continuous support of the brand. Its so yummy smelling and I wear it every single day! It’s a very subtle fragrance and reminds me of being on the beach. Now I have a bigger bottle to douce myself in ha! It’s available now thru the Summer.

Ruffles are all the rage this Spring/Summer. I love them and you guys have seen me rock them several times. It’s a very flirty and romantic look. When you wear ruffles it sets the mood and most people pay attention to you when you enter a room. Its very soft and delicate and mostly anyone can pull the look off! On the runways there are plenty of styles and ways you can wear them and here are a few ideas for you!

How to rock ruffles for Spring

Ruffles add volume, so if you have a small bust or narrow hips wear ruffles at these places.

Ruffles are usually the accent of an outfit. So when you choose to wear them make sure you don’t overdo with your look.

Merge ruffles with other spring trends: pastel colors, sheerness (use ruffles to cover your modesty), etc.

Don’t stick to simple looks with ruffles. Experiment and go for outfits which will make you stand out.

I’m too excited to see what fashion editor for Vogue(Japan)Anna Dello Russo designs for H&M! It’s reported that she has collaborated with the fashion chain to design a range of jewelry and other accessories! It’s described as a “celebration of excess,fantasy and decoration.” The line is inspired by womens’ lavish style. It’s going to have statement necklaces in gold and turquoise, bejeweled sunglasses,embellished minaudieres and vertiginous heels and more! I had the pleasure of meeting this fashion icon at NYFW a few months back and she was so nice! I can’t wait till her collection hits the stores on October 4th! xoxo

I’ve noticed a fun trend lately with a color called, Rose Gold. I’m seeing it everywhere! Model Kristina Kurkova wore designer gown in the shade created by Rachel Zoe to Nicole by OPI coming out with a nail hue called,It Starts With Me”. Just a week ago I went to Simone Smith’s trunk show where she had a jewelry collection of bangles,bracelets and more to reality star Evelyn Lozado tweeteing a picture of her fancy shoes by Christian Louboutin with the color. It’s definitely a trend that will be around for awhile. My wedding ring is gold, never did like silver or platinum that everybody ran out to get. I’m so ol school! I had a great time last week at a sneak peek of the new ALDI grocery store opening in Roswell, Ga. Fellow bloggers and I got a chance to check out the new floor plan, learn about the products, special buys, check out sampling stations, etc. Thom Behtz, Vice President of the ALDI Jefferson division gave us a private tour of the store, talked to us about specific products, eco-friendly ways they are conserving energy, consumers’ savings and so much more. I had no clue that ALDI only hires around 8 to 10 employees for each of their 1,200 stores! The employees are generously compensated, and if they work over 20 hours a week, they are eligible for full time benefits. I thought that was really cool.

Behtz showed us ways in how they conserve energy too and that goes back to the consumer because the less they have to spend, then they can keep the prices low for us. For example, their new window designs allow more natural light in the store. With that updated design, it saves on the electricity bill. I also learned that they have their own line of cookware called Crofton that’s located in the “special buys” section. They also own their own chocolate factory in Germany. So when you are buying those imported chocolates at a good price, you have ALDI to thank. We all asked questions and the friendly execs were eager to answer each and every one. All these things I learned today made me feel extra confident as a consumer with a family. After our tour we all did a little shopping and the check out was quick and fast just like they said it would be. If you have never been in ALDI, you have to stop by and check out all the savings! Milk will be $1.99 throughout the summer and other great deals! Some of the grocery products I had the pleasure of trying were the Reggano Spaghetti,Baker’s Corner cake mix and their canned tomatoes,all very tasty.
