TalkingWithTami:Hi Patrick please introduce your self to my readers?

 

Well Tami Reed, I often times find it difficult to introduce myself I am simply Patrick T Cooper.  I find it offensive when people ask, “What do you do”. I find that self absorbed and so not sexy. I am a fan of quiet elegance and being understated while maintaining a strong presence. All of that said, I am southern gentleman with an acute eye for detail. I am a conossuier of style that is passion about the art of living life and painting each day with beauty and opulence.

 

TalkingWithTami: You are a socialite in the fashion world lol. How did you get into fashion?

 

 

Well socialite, I would not go that far. I am a people person and am genuinely concerned about the well being of others. I think that comes across in all that do.  I am truly in love with fashion. The love affair according to my mother began at an early age from the time I was in kindergarten. My mother says I had a favorite COOKIE MONSTER sweater that I just loved and wanted to wear everyday. The legendary love of fashion according to my lovely mother is that I changed my wardrobe multiple times before school. I cultivated and honed my skills over the past 10 years as a celebrated fashion stylist. I fell into this art form after receiving my Master Degree from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. My father embedded in me the importance of obtaining an education, so I followed his orders. Shortly there after I had to do what I love. I was presented with an opportunity to work on a video and the rest is history sort of a snowball effect. My energy for the art form kept me excelling.  At present I love to have fun with my wardrobe I don’t think too much about what I am going to wear I just grab and go due to my hectic schedule. But I know if I keep doing interviews with fabulous individuals like you, I will surely open the floodgates for being that sought after SOCIALITE.

 

 

TalkingWithTami: You have styled some amazing celebs; tell us who were some of your clients and any favs?

 

 

Well yes, I had an amazing journey as a fashion stylist. My skills and innate abilities took me around the globe for numerous red carpets and notable events. Sometimes I look back and say wow it has been a magic carpet ride. What I can say about celebrities and wardrobe is that it is very challenging and demanding. I LOVE ALL OF MY CELEB CLIENTS. But at present that is the past for me. Instead of contributing my talents to making one individual look good I will reserve my talent for grander projects that will impact even more of the world. Brand Building, which takes me into your next question. 

 

 

TalkingWithTami: You’ve gone in a new direction now tell us about your latest venture?

 

 

My new direction, I get goose bumps talking about it. I always knew from my last days in graduate school that I wanted to impact the world with my sense of style. To chart the path I had no clue. I have simply been blessed and when opportunity presented I was prepared.  Now moving into the fall of the 2009 I am planning the launch of my firm PATRICK T COOPER. Simply put “Its not just style it’s a lifestyle. I recognized early own my innate ability to establish trends and set the standard. As a child, often times I was ridiculed for being fashion savvy. At that time I did not realize that people could be cruel and mean. I grew with those experiences and managed to place all of that negative energy into learning as much about fashion and style as possible. Now I own a credible voice in the fashion, entertainment and the lifestyle industries. I plan to use this voice to create some of the best corporate and personalized images for products and brands. The trendsetting abilities of my past and present will simply translate into global marketing strategies and campaigns for companies that are struggling to reach target demographics. So bring them on. WE ARE READY!

 

TalkingWithTami:You’re always reinventing yourself. Tell us whats in your closet that none can borrow or even look at?

 

Fashion should always be FUN. That said I own everything from kilts to platforms. Never take fashion too seriously remember they are just clothes. I am a chameleon that is what I challenge individuals to be with their wardrobe. Change it up live a little; you never know the response until you try it. Mix it up, mismatch it, in simple do what you want it’s your life who cares what people think. Remember if they comment then they are watching you. Treat life like a long runway with wow factor and shock value and keep on moving.
