La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

I do alot of restaurant reviews atleast twice a week. I dont know how I’m ever going to loose weight but I’m praying about it. I’m such a foodie its ridiculous omg! Well today I was in Norcross,Ga shopping for some things when I spotted this fab restaurant called, La Parrilla. I went inside and spoke to the manager and he was happy to help me out.  Carlos was very friendly and told me he has been with the company for over 10 years. He is originally from Peru.

Carlos said that La Parrilla has been at that location for 1 year. They have lots of other locations in the south. I told him I loved Mexican food and would love to try it out. Normally, I am sent out by pr people but it smelled so good from the outside, I had to check it out lol.

La Parrilla Dip

Burrito a La Parrilla

Fiesta Salad

Sopapillas

He went over some of the most popular things on the menu and told me they were known for their margaritas. I’m not a drinker but I bet they taste good. I loved the spacious place and it was very clean and the staff were very friendly.  The waitress brought us out some La Parrilla Dip which was filled with cheese, shrimp, chicken, steak in it, and I almost lost my mind! It was soo good! My hubby usually goes with me to mostly all my reviews in the daytime. He even said he really enjoyed La Parrilla! We both looked at the menu and  finally narrowed it down to a fiesta salad for him and Burrito A La Parrilla for me. My hubby lost 15 pounds and he is trying to eat more healthy now.

Mgr Carlos Medrano

When the entrees came out they were delish. Everything, I mean everything taste so wonderful! I’m going to say this now, that was the BEST mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at so far! I have been to alot of restaurants in these past 5 years and yup it’s the best Mexican restaurant so far. If your in the Norcross,Ga area please stop in and try it. They also cater and have room for private parties too. Thanks to the staff for having us, you guys did an amazing job!

Carol’s Daughter product review

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

I was asked by Carol’s Daughter to conduct a product review for their new Rosemary Mint Shampoo & Conditioner. I love their products and they have a fab store located in Lenox Mall in Atlanta. I’m not a hair stylist and dont want to be one but I can do my daughter’s hair fairly good.

Dootie all lathered up lol

My daughter Dootie asked me to try to do her hair because she had a field trip today with her choir. I said hmm ok, I have this new product that I need to try out anyway, so thanks for being my guinea pig lol. I first washed her hair with the Rosemary mint shampoo and my daughter said it felt tingly. She also liked the smell of it. It took me about three times to get it lathered up but after the 3rd time it had a nice lather to it.

Conditioner in tact

I then combed my daughters hair out and added the conditioner. My daughter does not have a relaxer so I was wondering how it was going to turn out yikes lol. With the help of the conditioner it became manageable and soft. I combed through the conditioner and rinsed.

Blow Drying

All pretty for school lol

After that I blow dried her hair and flat ironed it. I did the best I could do but I’m not a pro at hairdo’s. She was pleased and you could still smell the scent from the rosemary minty smell. I give Carol’s Daughter new Rosemary Mint Shampoo & Conditioner a thumbs up! If I did have to say one thing negative, that would be that it did leave a slight film on her hair. I thought that I followed the directions fairly well, but with the help of a spray shine, her hair came back to life lol.

Petunia Pickle Bottom bags

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

I was visiting a fun site called Bakerella when I saw her talking about a purse line called, PetuniaPickleBottom. The style of purse that she liked was called, Cake. I instantly went to the site and got on the phone. The bags are very nice and look like they are vintage .You guys know I’m all about vintage lol. The thing about these purses/bags is that most of them are diaper bags but look like designer bags that you can carry after the baby gets bigger! What a genius idea lol.

They shipped me the satchel bag called Licorice Pudding Cake and it’s quite big and roomy. Inside it’s lots of room for things for a baby and on the bottom is a zipper . You unzip that to find a diaper changing pad and plastic container for your baby’s wipes. I like the really thick straps too, so that it stays up on you shoulder. The style of the bag and materials they used are great. It makes the bag look very expensive and stylish. I absolutely love it!  Check out some of the different styles and also visit their site to see more things and colors!
