Hey guys what’s shaking and baking! It’s been a minute and I thought I would give you some more blogging tips! Last night I was chatting with a young man about using your God given talents! What does that have to do with blogging you may ask? Well, this is what I mean. Each and every one of us has some sort of talent. Be it cooking, dancing, writing(not my speciality lol)singing or whatever. As you start blogging or if you have an existing blog, always remember that little extra something you do WELL!

Do you guys know what my gift is? Ofcourse you do! I have the gift of gab and networking. I have been all over the United States and I swear everytime I travel, I know someone! I’m a really friendly person and I love connecting people together, thats my thing. Be it brands, celebrities or whatever, I can connect you in some way. I told the guy from last night that I had a VERY handsome boyfriend in my 20′s that was a true “LADIES MAN”. We eventually broke up because of that but I recently ran into him and made a few suggestions while catching up. He told me how he changed his ways and how he found my blog online. He was curious in knowing how to start one.

I suggested to him that he start a blog to give back and to teach women the warning signs in relationships, when he is not into you, things to look for in a man, romance, open discussions about relationships and more! He was very intrigued in my approach and liked my ideas. Since he has “A LOT” of experience in dating women, I thought he would be great at having that kinda blog. See, so think about something you do well, I mean EXTREMELY well.Let it marinate and then you will be on your way to having a great blog and eventually your readers will be coming back day after day for more! Good luck!

If you are a fellow blogger and reader, chime in and tell us your story on how you use your talents on your blog!

Sooo everyone was all excited about watching RiRi on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. I’m sure viewers was glued to the tv set to see her dance and act. Well according to our publisher over at Rolling Out, he had a few choice words and thoughts about the entertainers performance, her being a role model to our youth and more! Check out Munson’s thoughts click here ! Her movie “Battleship” where she makes a cameo appearance is something I won’t be running to the theaters to see. I saw the previews, and I’m just NOT interested at all. I do like some of her clothing styles though. xoxo

I was in my closet playing around in one of my vintage dresses from Betsey Johnson when my son snapped this photo. Boy do I look different! When I was a senior in high school I was all of a size 0! Funny how after having two kids and being over 40 takes a toll on your body! The things that were once sitting up and perky are NO more and all of a sudden I have a lil pooch in the front! I was like wow where did that come from? I talked to my friend Sandra Rose who’s a fellow blogger and she was also a RN. We always chat about women’s health concerns and home remedies since we are around the same age. She told me after a woman turns 40 our estrogen changes and weight gain heads towards our abdominal area, sweet Jesus! Even after I had my two kids, I kept a nice waist line, not any more lol!

One thing for sure, I’ve never suffered from low self esteem.I have always been comfortable with my body and my size. My weight has NEVER bothered me. I’m more concerned with my thinning hair, yikes! I don’t get uptight either about clothes sizes when I shop. I would worry myself silly thinking about me fluctuating between a size 12-14. Nawl, I have bigger issues to worry about in life, geesh! I believe that as long as I look nice in my clothes, it’s not a big issue.Everybody can’t be two pounds! I have never compared my size to someone else either and try to starve myself with dieting to compete with someone else…that’s so lame! I guess because I have a great husband who loves me no matter what size I am. When I met my hubby,I was a size 8 and he thought I was a lil frail lol. I’m so glad that he always tells me how beautiful I am and those kind of words are so comforting for me to hear. So folks, learn to love yourself inside & out first and when you do that, others will see the real you, not your weight! xoxo

" width="486" height="368" />

I usually wake up at 6am on the dot if not a little before. It was 6:45am when I woke up and heard something very important on the tv as I stretched and yawned. It was Dr.Charles Stanley voice preaching on my tv. I can’t remember what I was watching last night but I thought it was very strange that the tv was on the same channel that his sermon comes on weekly. Wasn’t that odd? I knew that I had to get up and listen immediately. I’m a member of Dr.Charles Stanley church too, I’ve always liked how he preaches in a calm manner. Today’s sermon was about God Acts on Our Behalf. It was about waiting and trusting God. What a coincidence that last night I posted a blog and asked my readers to give me some advice when I move onto new projects. After hearing Dr.Charles Stanley sermon this morning,it cleared up a lot of things I was thinking about. After the sermon they gave out his website where all the info was listed on the front page click here. I copied and pasted it for you to read if you are interested. Boy did this answer a lot of my questions! God is so Good! Thanks Dr.Charles Stanley! xoxo

God Acts on Our Behalf

Charles F. Stanley

Scripture: Isaiah 64:1-4

Waiting is uncomfortable.

Most of us hate lines, stoplights, and other delays. We want what we want—and we want it now.

Our heavenly Father has created our spiritual lives to function differently. In order to grow as believers, you and I must learn to wait on Him. When we surrender to His timing, the Father can do mighty things in us and for us. Always remember that God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. In other words, we must allow His schedule—not our own agendas—to guide our lives. Then we can experience His very best.

SCRIPTURAL PRINCIPLES:

What is God’s role in our waiting?

The Father is involved as we rest in Him. His job is to give us clear direction—in other words, to reveal His will. The Lord also guides our choices and protects the outcomes of our obedience. When we obey Him, we are shielded from all kinds of negative situations and circumstances, many of which we may never realize. As we wait, the Lord heals, comforts, teaches, and empowers us. He encourages us, answers our prayers, and gives us peace (Phil. 4:6-7). We may rest, but God continues to work.

What does it mean to wait on the Lord?

To rest in the Lord requires patience, which is simply the will to wait. You and I must also listen

for further instructions instead of rushing ahead with our solutions or agendas. Waiting requires us to calmly accept what the Lord is doing in our lives. We have to trust Him to fulfill His will for us. Some may have to surrender what seem like immediate needs and resist the temptation to set their own timelines. However, waiting on Him doesn’t mean we take a fatalistic attitude. It’s purposeful anticipation that God will accomplish what He has promised.

The Psalms speak of waiting on God.

Depending on the Father instead of taking action can be difficult. Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the LORD; be strong and let your heart take courage.” When you and I obey Him, we never have to worry about what others think of us. Reliance on God protects us from experiencing shame (Ps. 25:3). Notice that resting in the Lord is not passive, but active—you and I are commanded to wait patiently for Him (Ps. 37:7). As a result of faithfully surrendering to His timing, we can expect His very best. The Living Bible puts it this way:“Don’t be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep traveling steadily along His pathway, and in due season He will honor you with every blessing” (Ps. 37:34).

Why do we have to wait? God is…

I Arranging circumstances. The Israelites marched around Jericho many times prior to attacking the city. Anxiety and fear crippled the enemy, preparing the way for victory. Likewise, David was selected as the next king of Israel years before he took the throne, but he waited on God
