Are you a wine connoisseur? I’m not really a wine drinker but I love going to a great party! Last night I headed down to STG Trattoria in Buckhead for a lil wine tasting with Cultivate Wines. STG Trattoria is a great lil spot that serves an array of wines and tapas food. My hubby was excited to go because he drinks a lil bit more than me but not much.

Other bloggers and media heads in Atlanta came out as well as we sampled away. I enjoyed the white wine the most called, Dream Walker. We also were served small plates of Bruschetta,Anchovy & Tomato Basil Pizzas to go along with our wines.The food was yummy. My husband and I enjoyed trying the many different wines from Cultivate. They range from $12 to $25 a bottle at the restaurant. That’s not too bad of a price to go along with a meal! It was a tantalizing affair and I would like to thank The Reynolds Group for the personal invite! xoxo

Ambassador Andrew Young celebrated his 80th birthday in grand style at the Centennial Ballroom at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Lots of Socialites,Politicians,Dignitaries,Kings & Queens,Celebrities and more came out to party with him. The event was hosted by comedian Jonathan Slocumb and actress Jasmine Guy. Everyone looked lovely at the Mardi-Gras themed celebration! Plates ranged from $250-$150,000, that benefited his foundation. I had a blast and it was so nice to see everyone! I was a bit sad though that after being there for hours on end me and my photographer Robin Lori decided to pack up and leave like so many other media outlets. As soon as we did, I got a text that Oprah came! OMG! I wanted to meet her so bad. She was one of the honorees at the event lol. Better luck next time lol! What an amazing time my family and I had out at the “Let It Shine” special screening in Atlanta last night at the Coca Cola World Studio(Zoo Atlanta)! The event was filled with kids of all ages at heart that came out to see the Disney movie that was shot right here in Atlanta! My kids and I got to walk the red carpet, it felt a little strange since I’m use to being on the other side lol. The stars of the film came out to support  and took lots of pics and did a Q&A afterwards. Tyler James Williams,Coco Jones,Trevor Jackson and Brandon Mychal Smith were all in the house! My kids enjoyed meeting them all!

I also spotted Jasmine Guy ,Terri Vaughn,Toya Wright,Reginae Carter,Memphitz,Key Swagg 3000,Dondria,The Harris Family and more! The film was awesome and my kids and I really enjoyed it! It’s full of dancing,music and ofcourse fashion! I absolutely fell in love with Coco Jones(Roxanne Andrews) ENTIRE wardrobe in the movie,it was full of sparkle! She wore lots of Betsey Johnson clothing and accessories I recognized! The story is set in the world of hip-hop,rap and gospel music. This most highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie will air in June! Thank you to the Disney Channel and The Hawkins Group for the personal invite! What a great time I had at the private screening of Battleship held at AMC movie theater at Phipps Plaza last night! Many local celebs and socialites came out for concessions,mingling and to see a great movie! I will tell yah more about the film later but just know it was really good! Rihanna does an awesome job in the film as well! Others I spotted out were reality star Marlo Hampton, local radio personality Frank Ski and his kids, rapper Da Brat, reality star Toya Wright, her hubby Memphitz and daughter Reginae,Dirty Money artist Kalenna and Mishon. Check out all the snaps I took! Oh yes,  it was also great to run into my school buddy Joe Little from The Rude Boys! xoxo

I had a great time recently at a sneak peek of the new ALDI grocery store opening in Roswell, Ga. Fellow bloggers and I got a chance to check out the new floor plan, learn about the products, special buys, check out sampling stations, etc. Thom Behtz, Vice President of the ALDI Jefferson division gave us a private tour of the store, talked to us about specific products, eco-friendly ways they are conserving energy, consumers’ savings and so much more. I had no clue that ALDI only hires around 8 to 10 employees for each of their 1,200 stores! ALDI offers these employees generous compensation that is well above the industry standard. I thought that was really cool.

Behtz showed us ways in how they conserve energy too and that goes back to the consumer because the less they have to spend, then they can keep the prices low for us. For example, their new window designs allow more natural light in the store. With that updated design, it saves on the electricity bill. I also learned that they have their own line of cookware called Crofton that’s located in the “Special Buys” section. They also own their own chocolate factory in Germany. So when you are buying those imported chocolates at a good price, you have ALDI to thank. We all asked questions and the friendly execs were eager to answer each and every one. All these things I learned while at ALDI made me feel extra confident as a consumer with a family. After our tour we all did a little shopping and the check out was quick and fast just like they said it would be. If you have never been in ALDI, you have to stop by and check out all the savings! Milk will be $1.99 throughout the summer and other great deals! Some of the grocery products I had the pleasure of trying were the Reggano Spaghetti, Baker’s Corner cake mix and their canned tomatoes, all very tasty.
