I was invited out to ‘Fro Fashion Week here in Atlanta. I had heard about it last year but couldn’t make it down. I was able to attend this year and it was very nice,held at the Melia Hotel! Kim Cole was the guest of honor and so was blogger Afrobella. Both of them were so fun to chat with! I finally got to meet one of my favorite bloggers,Patrice Yursik(Afrobella) which was a complete sweetie pie! During the “Fro Fashion weekend, ladies got to see live demonstrations, learn hair care techniques from exhibitors and workshops, network, see a fashion show,dance,grab swag bags,munch on catered bites,sip cocktails and more! I  came out to the VIP rooftop party which was very elegantly put together. Last night I stopped by Three Brown Girls: Cocktails and Conversation event. Three Brown Girls consist of Socialite/Model/Mom to Sean Diddy Combs kids Kim Porter, Blogger/Media Personality Ebony Elektra and Granddaughter of Sam Cooke/The Perfect Treatment Nicole Johnson. All three women talked about starting up their media company again and throwing fun parties. Now that they have balanced motherhood and careers,they are ready to get back out there.Check out Kim Porter’s Betsey Johnson jacket from the Spring RTW 2012 collection that she paired with leggings and Valentino thigh high black leather boots, hott!  It was a nice event and thanks to the Garner Circle for the invite.

Last week I was invited to a meet and greet with plus size supermodel Emme. It was hosted by Laura Seydel Turner at her Eco-Friendly mansion in Buckhead. Many women gathered together for an afternoon full of inspiration as we sipped on tea, had bites from Urban Cannibals and listened to ladies speak about challenged and diversity. Emme the guest of honor then spoke about her challenges of facing breast cancer, loving herself and more! It was a great afternoon and I would like to thank Amanda Leesburg for the great afternoon of fellowship. Over the weekend my kids and I were invited out to my friend Nikka’s daughter Amaya birthday party! It was held at Polished Nail Salon in Smyrna,Ga. I had heard of this really cute nail bar located right next door to Kandi’s boutique called, TAGS. My kids were excited to attend as we headed down the freeway. My daughter and I love anything girly and with nail polish added, we were so there! We arrived and walked in while other lil chicas were already getting mani’s and pedis. My daughter quickly picked out hot pink and turquoise color. She never likes to match anything,I guess I’m getting old lol. Nikka and I chatted about how fast are kids were growing up,she couldn’t believe her baby was turning 11!

After the nail party we headed over for Mexican food at a place called,Village Taqueria. We had yummy bites then sang happy birthday and had GiGi cupcakes. They were soo good! Amaya then opened all her fun and girly presents. Amaya told me she wants to be a designer when she grows up, she also wants to visit Paris,France. I told her that was my dream too, I knew I was going to love her! So funny,our gift to her was a bath set from Bath&Body and it was the Paris,France collection lol. I would like to thank Nikka for the invite and check out the colorful pics I shot! xoxo
